Fun with the New Water Meta

So I'm currently enjoying playing with the new water deck! The best part is, that even with the low DEC reward pool, the cost of this deck was equally low!

The Cost

The Strategy

When facing an opponent, you have several options to go for. I believe that the highest chance of winning is to go maximize the new meta. This means taking the sneak attack to the next level!

The goal is to always find a way to stick River Helondale in the team and put as much melee damage in it!

This match was almost a sure win because my enemy didn't even have the cards for it. I won pretty easily as the shield of Kelya Frendul acted as extra protection from blast, and the extra speed cancelled out the slow debuff.

Now this match showed the greatness of little league. The shield and speed buff was invaluable here. It was easy to go though my enemies because of the armor and speed advantage.

Right now, I'm in gold league. I didn't think I'd be able to use water because the gold league deck I rented was a fire team. I rented Selena Sky because it complemented my neutrals the most, but I have won some matches thanks to the water deck like this. The Ruler of the Seas came in pretty clutch here, but it was all a good mix with my Doctor Blight and Vigilator surviving until the end.

Try and test it out!

You'll see how awesome the new Water Meta can be! I'll be testing out the magic earth meta soon so definitely look forward to that!

I'm liking melee heavy attacks with the water deck as well. Get River Helondale, Demented Shark, and Pirate Captain on the same team and you can have a tank and two sneak / opportunity attackers getting +3 damage each. That's some heavy fire power to defend against and has gotten me a lot of wins. With water's +1 speed / armor summoner boost and some strong melee attackers this is a strategy we'll be seeing (and using) for a long time in Splinterlands.

Yeah I've tried this before and it was so fun! I really enjoy the whole sneak meta of water, and the +1 armor really adds some extra survivability.
