Start Brawling Today!

I'm currently writing about the latest brawl report, but before I finish that, I'd like to inspire everyone to start brawling. What better way to inspire you to start brawling than by showing you the fruits of the brawl: "My Gladius Card Colleciton!"
My Gladius Card Collection.
This is it! My collection currently gives me 1730 CP, and I've only opened a total of 8 packs! I started collecting merits when I was in Kaizen [PH], and after a while I decided I was ready to move to a larger guild.

This decision led me to join PeakMonsters [Vikings] and it has been a blast here! I've been getting better at brawls ever since I joined the guild, and with the addition of gladius cards, I've gotten even stronger!
Cost of Gladius Packs
Each pack costs 2000 Merits, and can be bought once the guild you're in has opened level 2 of the store.

You can then use the gladius cards in battle when you upgrade the barracks to level 2!

So it currently costs, 60k DEC in total for a guild to be able to use the gladius cards in an actual brawl.
Opening the Brawl
Find a guild willing to put in the DEC into the game to start brawling! Upgrading the buildings in the store isn't cheap, and it definitely needs a whale or a group effort to upgrade. As people continue to contribute to the guild, eventually the necessary buildings will be unlocked. If you want to skip this part, there are a lot of big guilds that have already unlocked the necessary buildings, so you can just apply there!
How does Brawl Work?
The goal of brawls is to win as much matches. Before joining one, you have to understand that there are 3 phases to the brawl.
- Preparation Stage
In this stage, you just have to pick which fray/league you'd want to be a part of. Talk with your guildmates and find out how you can help the guild to win the most matches. This stage lasts 48 hrs, so you definitely have the time to prepare. - Battle Stage
In this stage, you will fight! Similar to the preparation stage, you have 48 hrs to fight. If you're a renter like me, you have to rent on the last 24 hrs of the battle stage. This is to prevent any monsters you've rented from being cancelled on you, which would make you forfeit the match. - Results Stage
In this stage, you'd get to see the fruits of your battles. You'll get merits and then if you have enough, you can finally open the gladius packs! Higher level brawls would be harder to win, but the rewards are way better.
Next Steps
You have to learn how to walk before you can run. It is always more helpful to first learn to brawl when you're in a smaller guild. That way, you'll be able to gain experience and get better before you and your guild are ready to handle stronger enemies. If you want to fast track your brawl experience, you can join larger guilds. These have more stringent requirements and they expect you to have a certain level of skill. The reward in these larger guilds are way more than the smaller guilds. In comparison, I earn 200 merits per match in the smaller guild that I'm in, but earn 2k merits in the bigger guild. That's 10x more! The difficulty is also multiplied, and fortunately, so is the fun!
Brawl Today
If you constantly like finding challenges, I highly recommend you to start brawling today! The collection power from gladius cards will help anyone trying to get the permanent collection power that they're trying so hard to get. What are you waiting for? Start brawling Today!

You beat me to it ! I was thinking about doing a post on Gladiators & Brawls! Great info for those who are not in brawls yet!
You should still make one! The more people understand brawls and how awesome it is, the better! I actually forgot to mention that upgrading guilds is an awesome DEC burning activity, which is good for DEC!
Thank you for writing this up, just this week I finally joined a guild that participates in brawls and this is helpful in learning what to expect!
best of luck to your brawls!
For anyone interested, the Peakmonsters family of guilds has some spots open for players wanting to get involved with brawls. There are currently 9 guilds flying the PM flag and 6 of these are competitive and only are accepting top tier players with proven track records. There are another 3 'Feeder' guilds where newer players can apply and work their way up into the competitive guilds over time if they prove themselves. The PeakD discord channel is the best place to apply or contact someone for more information.
Pogs is absolutely right about the brawls, there are plans for additional SPS rewards in the brawls later this year as well so getting started now gets you a running start when those rewards are possible.
