Ever wondered how far you can go with just 500 Dark Energy Crystals? Now's the chance to find out! Pogier here issuing a challenge to the entire Splinterlands community!

THE CHALLENGE

With only 500 DEC to start a season, with as little collection power as possible, let's see how much we can earn after the end of the season. I will be doing this challenge with my alt account @madsie, starting with 1,140 Collection Power.

There's no prize for this, but it's a pretty fun way to fix our strategies and get better as a community. I will be posting updates as the season progresses, which will include the decks I've rented and the strategies employed.

ADVISE FROM ME

  1. Rent efficiently. Read my guide on how to rent well with @peakmonsters on this article I made a few days ago.
  2. Don't Overspend. Make sure that you can get your return on investment for every time you rent. A good rule of thumb is you only need max 20 wins to get your money back.
  3. Manage the ECR. I will focus on renting every other day and playing until 50 ECR.

Great idea. However, 500 DEC might still be a lot for new Splinterlands users who don't usually have this amount in their account. On the other side, it is interesting to see what strategies you use in the game. Good luck with it!

Thanks! I was deciding for that sweet spot, because there are a lot of guides already out there focusing on earning from nothing. I checked how much it cost to rent for a strategy I had in mind and settled on 500. In a way this challenge is for those who've already played the game for a while and need the extra push to climb those ranks.

500 DEC is only about $6-7, pretty reasonable for a lot of people. I had some extra BNB lying around on BSC, so I was able to get 500 no problem.
