We started playing the league competition sponsored by GLG Team 2 weeks ago. The last matches were played yesterday. The results of this are as follows.

A helpful post from @drzoom about gameplay: GLG Gameplay Mechanics

This time, 23 players entered the competition. Of these, 21 played actively and 20 played at least 51% of their matches. The results of the first group stage can be viewed here. More info on the rules and prizes can be found here.

Despite the fact that the players of the final group were in a 10-hour time zone range, all the matches were played in 2 days!!! If I also add to that, it happened on weekdays, it's a really nice performance.

Some thoughts about the tournament

As you can see from the table, it was a close competition. The first 3 places all had 10 wins. It was decided by who lost less times in the other matches.

Here it might be interesting to share the table by adding the coaches next to the players' names.

As you can see, stamina coaches were popular. Genepool and Ivy are very effective at the current level of development of the game. Considering the first group stage, it can be stated that it is very difficult to be effective against these teams with a similar composition, but with a different coach. This is especially true for the league system, where these differences are more visible, the luck part is pushed into the background.

And here I would like to draw everyone's attention to the fact that the GLG Team has mentioned several times that after the release of ranked rewards, they will do additional balancing based on the collected data and player feedback.

Overall, it was a very enjoyable tournament, even though I wasn't in the final group.

Whether it will be next is questionable. According to the GLG Team, ranked rewards will be released in the coming weeks.
