Splinterlands Battle Challenge - Goblin Shaman

Hello Splinterlands fans. The featured card for this week is one of my favorite cards from the Fire Splinter: Goblin Shaman.

It's Weaken ability is the advantage this card brings into our lineup. It reduces the Health of all enemy Monsters by 1 making them easier to kill specially those who are already low on health.

Battle Ruleset

Mana Limit: 23

Stampede: The Trample ability can trigger multiple times per attack if the trampled Monster is killed.

Lineup & Strategy

Summoner: Pyre

We are going to take advantage of the +1 Speed that Pyre adds to our team. Aside from having a high chance of attacking first at the start of each round, higher speed can also give our team an increased chance of dodging attacks.

=1st Position=
Tank: Cerberus

The Heal ability of this monster allows it to survive longer in battle. Restoring a portion of its health each round is perfect for a tank monster.

=2nd Position=
Flame Monkey

This card will be our backup tank just in case Cerberus doesn't last till the last round. Its main task is to protect Goblin Shaman from attacks.

=3rd Position=
Goblin Shaman

We're placing our featured card in the middle of our lineup to protect it from attacks. Its Weaken ability is our trump card in this battle so we need this monster to survive till the last round.

=4th Position=
Serpentine Spy

We're using this card because of its Opportunity ability. It will help us kill low health monsters faster and clear our opponent's lineup easier.

=5th Position=
Lava Launcher

This card's damage is quite decent along with its armor and health that can make it last long in the battlefield. Its Close Range ability allows it to do Range attacks even on the 1st position just in case its the only one left on our side of the battlefield.

Our opponent used Zintar Mortalis as Summoner, lowering our team's Melee attack by 1. Serpentine Spy was able to kill the enemy Skeleton Assassin on Round 1 but we've also lost Goblin Shaman in this round.

Serpentine Spy was able to kill the enemy tank monster on Round 2 giving our team the advantage since the opponent's remaining monsters don't have that much health.

Lava Launcher killed the enemy Undead Priest on Round 3 gaining the 1 health it took away from our monsters because of its Weaken ability. Another enemy monsters was again killed by Serpentine Spy on the same round.

Lava Launcher killed another enemy monster leaving one helpless Ranged monster on the 1st position that can no longer attack.

Lava Launcher brought home the bacon after killing the remaining enemy monster on the battlefield.

Conclusion

Our opponent had the upperhand in this battle since our team were debuffed with the -1 Melee attack by the enemy summoner. Serpentine Spy and Lava Launcher carried our team to victory with their combined attack. Lava Launcher does the big damage while Serpentine Spy was the finisher killing low health monsters in its sight.

Our strategy of taking advantage of the Opportunity ability of Serpentine Spy and Lava Launcher's damage worked pretty well. Serpentine Spy made sure that each enemy monster that's about to die bites the dust in each attack.

Goblin Shaman is one of my favorite cards in the Fire Splinter as I've previously mentioned. Reducing all enemy monsters' health by 1 gives our team a greater chance of winning.
