THEME: WOOD NYMPH

Edition: REWARD
Rarity: COMMON
Element: EARTH
Attack: MAGIC
Abilities: Tank Heal/Strengthen at level 6

Battle Ruleset

Mana Limit: 28

Spreading Fury: All Monsters get the Enrage ability. Has increased Melee attack and Speed when damaged. Values are multiplied by 1.5 and rounded up.

Lineup & Strategy

Summoner: Obsidian

Since Wood Nymph does Magic damage, we'll use this card as our summoner to boost our team's magic attack.

=1st Position=
Tank: Unicorn Mustang

Our opponent likes using a Forest Splinter lineup composed mostly of Magic attack monster. This card's Void ability that reduces damage from Magic attacks is perfect for a tank monster against that kind of lineup that mostly does Magic damage. This monster will be a vital part of our lineup since it will absorb all attacks on the front while also dealing damage to the enemy monster on the 1st position.

=2nd Position=
Regal Peryton

This will be our backup tank. Its Flying ability will also be useful in dodging Melee and Ranged attacks. It also uses Magic attack that will be boosted by our chosen Summoner.

=3rd Position=
Goblin Psychic

This card's Tank Heal ability will allow Unicorn Mustang to last longer in battle, protecting our team from frontal attacks while they eliminate enemy monsters. It also has a decent Magic damage of 2 that directly damages an enemy monster's health ignoring armor.

=4th Position=
Wood Nymph

We're placing our featured card of the week in the middle of our lineup so that it will be protected from attacks on the frontline as well as from Sneak attacks. It can also Heal our tank monster each round.

=5th Position=
Mycelic Morphoid

We're placing this card at the last slot to protect Wood Nymph from Sneak attacks.

As expected, our opponent used a Forest Splinter lineup with several Magic attack monsters. Our lineup is also quite similar to our opponent under the same Summoner. The big difference is having two Tank Healers. Hopefully this will have a significant impact on our lineup in this battle.

Our team was able to kill the first two monsters in our opponents lineup on Round 1. Unicorn Mustang's health is still okay thanks to our two Tank Healers.

With the help of Unicorn Mustang and two of our other Magic attack monsters, Wood Nymph was able to eliminate the enemy tank monster.

Our team had a great series of attacks on Round 3, eliminating all three remaining enemy monsters in one round. Wood Nymph once again landed a critical hit to the last enemy monster giving our team a solid win in this battle.

Conclusion

Although it looked like a mirror match, having two Tank Healers gave us the advantage we needed to win this battle.
Unicorn Mustang was able to protect our team from attacks as well as deal a solid damage to any monster that's blocking its path.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Our plan of extending Unicorn Mustang's presence on our side of the battlefield worked flawlessly. It also boosted its attack to a whooping 5 Melee damage after getting hit several times. We also did not loose any friendly monster in this battle which was quite awesome.

Do you like the WOOD NYMPH Why or why not?

I've been using Wood Nymph as a healer in a Forest Splinter lineup even before Chaos Legion was released. Its more useful now since the new summoner in the Forest Splinter boosts magic attack.

I hope you liked our featured battle for this week. See you on our next battle challenge. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Heartstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using a blockchain technology, players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.

Thanks for sharing! - @lenonmc21

I really liked the idea of the format you had for your post, but try to place the cards with a smaller size and it would look much better. Good battle.
