Hello Splinterlands fans. The featured card for this week is one of my favorite Neutral Monster card, Elven Cutthroat. Let's try using her in this matchup and see how it goes.

Battle Ruleset

Equal Opportunity: All monsters will attack from any position (range monsters cannot attack from position 1) and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.

Lineup Strategy

Summoner: Malric Inferno

We're going to use Malric on this matchup to add 1 Melee attack damage to our team. Since this is a low mana battle, our opponent will probably be using low health monsters to spread the damage.

Tank: Creeping Ooze

Although this card is not really a tank monster, we're using it as such to use the extra mana for more monsters that we can use as damage dealers. This card also gives us the advantage of attacking first at the start of each round with its Slow ability that reduces the Speed of all enemy Monsters.

Uraeus

This card is our backup tank. Since it has 1 armor, it can survive one Melee or Ranged attack before dying protecting Elven Cutthroat from a few attacks. This is also one of our damage dealers. Its Sneak ability allows it to Target the last Monster on the enemy Team instead of the first Monster.

Elven Cutthroat

We'll be placing our featured card in the 3rd slot to protect it from attacks. As one of our damage dealers, we're going to take advantage of its Sneak attack to kill enemy monsters at the back of their lineup.

Serpentine Spy

This card is also one of our damage dealers. It already has the Opportunity ability that also allows it to target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.

Our opponent also chose Malric as a summoner. The enemy team has a good tank with the ability to heal itself, Cerberus. However, we're quite confident that our team will attack first and instantly kill the enemy damage dealers, thanks to the Slow ability of Creeping Ooze.

Our damage dealers were able to kill two enemy monsters on Round 1. Their Sneak ability gave us the advantage of killing low health monsters at the backline leaving the enemy Cerberus by itself.

Creeping Ooze died on Round 2. However, our team was able to kill the enemy Cerberus in just a few attacks allowing us to claim victory in just two rounds. Whew! That was fast one!

Conclusion

It was an easy win for our team. Thanks to the Slow ability of Creeping Ooze, along with the Sneak ability of our damage dealers, we had the Speed advantage we needed to immediately attack at the start of each round and kill enemy monsters from the backline.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Our strategy of using monsters with the Sneak ability really paid off. Since our opponent used low health monsters, our damage dealers were able to instantly kill them at the backline.

Do you like the ELVEN CUTTHROAT? Why or why not?

This card is one of my favorite Neutral Cards because of the following:

  • Low mana cost of 3
  • High speed of 3
  • Sneak ability

This card is usually on my lineup when I need a low mana cost monster with the Sneak ability.

I hope you liked our featured battle for today. Till the next battle challenge fellow Splinterlands fans.

What is Splinterlands?

Splinterlands is a digital, collectible card game built on blockchain technology. It is similar in concept to games like Magic the Gathering and Heartstone where you build up a collection of cards, which all have various different stats and abilities, and use them to battle other players in skill-based matches. By using a blockchain technology, players can buy, sell and trade their digital assets freely just as if they were physical cards, and all transactions are recorded publicly and immutably.
