Hello everyone, today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Ferocity ruleset.

I play in the Modern Format Diamond League, using my scholar account from Balthazar I only use cheap cards like Chaos, Reward, and some Neutral.

Ruleset

• Aim True, attacks always hit their target.
• Ferocity, all monsters have Fury ability.
  • Fury ability, do double damage against monsters with the Taunt ability.
• Fog of War, monster loses the Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity abilities:
  • Sneak ability, targets the last Monster on the enemy team instead of the first Monsters.
  • Snipe ability, targets enemy monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.
  • Opportunity ability, monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.
• mana cap.
• only can use Life element.

My Lineup and strategy

In this battle, we decided to use a monster with the Taunt ability because this monster has the Martyr ability and can boost all stats units adjacent to it. Yes, this monster will die fast, we just hope after getting the stat boost our monster can quickly kill the enemy monster.

This is my lineup :

Summoner or monster	Abilities	Description
	Arkemis the Bear, 1st position, Attacker, Support and Defender. Has the ability Protect, Halving, Forcefield, and Enrage.	Besides the good stats like high HP the reason we use this monster in this battle is because of the Protect ability it gives all friendly monsters armor of +2, when using Grandmaster Rathe the armor is important because every attack including magic needs to hit the armor first before decreasing the HP. The Forcefield will make all monsters who have damage of 5 or more only give 1 damage to this monster, and with the Enrage ability, if hit by the enemy monster and decreased this monster's health it will increase the damage and speed of this monster. Halving ability if The Bear hits the enemy unit will decrease the enemy unit damage by half (round down), this will prolong the life of our monster.
	Sunkai Harvester, 2nd position, attacker and 2nd tanker. Has the ability Reach, and Oppress.	This will be a 2nd tanker. this monster can attack from this position because it has the Reach ability, and the Oppress ability will do double damage when attacking monsters with no attack like Pelacor Conjurer, Chaos Agent, etc. The stats are not that great but our mana is not enough to use another monster who have Reach ability.
	Iziar 3rd position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Taunt, Void, and Martyr ability	Placed in the 3rd position so the enemy damage can be split with the monster in the first position (Arkemis The Bear as the first monster), and we want if this monster dies the Martyr ability boost all stats of Sunkai Harvester and Adelade Brightwing by 1. This monster has a Taunt ability, which makes all enemy if can attack this monster. Has the Void ability which decreases the magic damage by half. In this battle, we hope the enemy brings many units with magic attacks, so when this monster is hit by a magic attack it will become normal damage not double because it has Void ability. If the enemy brings a range monster it will give double damage every hit.
	Adelade Brightwing, 4th position, attacker and support, has the ability Flying, Repair, Resurrect, Immunity, and Swiftness.	Placed in the 4th position because I want this monster to get a boost from Iziar This monster stats not good, slow speed, low HP but has much good support ability like Immunity ability which ignores any negative effect (Poison, Cripple, Weaken, etc). Flying ability increases the chance to evade the enemy melee or range attack by 25%. The Resurrect ability is very useful for reviving our monster Iziar, we use this monster to double the boost effect of the Martyr ability from Iziar. The ability Swiftness gives a +1 speed boost so can increase the chance to attack first, evade the enemy attack, and hit the enemy first. Repair ability to restore the ally armor with the most damage.
	Spirit Hoarder. 5th position, attacker and support. Has Triage, Dispel, and blind abilities	Triage ability can heal monsters not in the first position (Iziar and others), we need it to Heal Iziar in this battle. The Dispel ability can erase the effect of the buff from the enemy monster in the first position. Put this in here because this monster has low speed and HP is easy to die. Blind ability will increase the chance to evade the enemy attack by 15%.
	Celestial Harpy, 6th position, attacker. Has the ability Flying, Opportunity, and True Strike.	This monster can attack from any position, with the Opportunity ability (attack the monster with the lowest HP). True Strike ability makes every attack always hit the enemy.

We made a big mistake in the battle this time, we used the Celestial Harpy and put it in the back position, in the Fog of War ruleset this monster cannot attack in this position, I forgot about the Fog of War ruleset when choosing this last monster:

And the funny thing is that the enemy also made the same mistake 😀. So in this battle, there are effectively only 5 monsters that can attack until Celestial Harpy advances to first position.

In this battle, we were lucky that the enemy didn't bring any range monsters. All they brought were magic and melee monsters, so our Iziar didn't get double damage from the enemy's magic monster attacks. The enemy's attacks are divided between Iziar and Bear so that our Bear can survive until the end, while we can easily kill the enemy Bear because all our monsters attack him:
