Amplify The Return Fire ability


Hello all. How is your EOS Chest hope you have a good one. Today I will make a post again about Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is about Up to Eleven ruleset.

Ruleset

  • Up to Eleven, every monsters have Amplify ability.
    • Amplify ability, Increases Magic Reflect, Return Fire, and Thorns damage to all enemy monsters by 1
  • Tis But Scratches, all monsters have a Cripple ability.
    • Each time an enemy is hit by a Monster with Cripple it loses one max health. Decreasing maximum health reduces the effect of Heal and Tank Heal
  • Heavy Hitters, all monster have the Knock Out ability.
    • Knock Out ability, the monster will get double damage when attacking the monster with the Stun effect.
  • mana cap.
  • can use all Fire, Water, and Earth.

My Lineup and strategy

With Ruleset Tis But Scratches I think we will see many range monster because range monster is fast and can attack from 2nd - 6th position, with the fast attack we can kill the enemy first before they have a chance to attack, so we will use monster with Taunt (every monster will attack this monster if they can) ability who have Return Fire ability, so every time the range monsters attack will give the damage back to the enemy.

This is my lineup :

Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
Possibilus the Wise, summoner. Has the buff of +2 HP, and gives Trample and Reach abilities to all friendly monsters+2 HP to all friendly monsters will prolong the life of our monster, give all friendly monsters Reach ability, all melee in the 2nd position can attack the enemy in the first position. Every time our monster kills the enemy, it will immediately attack the monster behind because this summoner gives Trample ability.
Arkemis the Bear, 1st position, Attacker, Support and Defender. Has the ability Protect, Halving, Forcefield, and Enrage.We put this monster in the first position because it has a High HP. Halving ability will make the monster we hit will decrease the damage by half (round down). This is very useful to decrease the damage of the monster who attacks us. Protect ability is a support ability that gives all friendly monsters armor of +2. The Forcefield is another good defense ability, it will make all monsters who have damage of 5 or more only give 1 damage to this monster, and to increase the capability as an attacker, it has an Enrage ability, if it hit by the enemy and decrease the HP it will increase the damage and speed of this monster.
Coastal Sentry, 2nd position, Attacker and 2nd tanker. Has the ability Double Strike and Piercing,This monster has very high damage. With Double Strike this monster will attack twice each round giving a total of 8 damage, the other ability that makes this monster easy to kill the enemy is the Piercing ability if the enemy armor hit by this monster is destroyed, the remaining damage will hit the HP. usually, this monster can only attack from the first position, but because of the summoner Possibilus it can attack from 2nd position, this monster does not have a strong defense/ability against many attackers and will die quickly, better to put it behind good tanker the Bear. The speed is high, this will increase the chance of hitting the enemy.
Merdaali Guardian, 3th position, Support, has the ability Tank Heal, Repair, and Strengthen.We use this monster to Heal our monster in the first position and restore the monster armor that has the highest damage. The Strengthen ability will increase all of the enemy HP to +1 .
Swamp Spitter, 4th position, attacker and support, has ability Repair and Giant Killer.We use this monster because has the Repair ability, this ability will restore the monster armor that has the highest damage. I hope I can restore the HP of Bear or the Coastal Sentry. The Giant Killer ability will make Swamp Spitter do double damage when hit the enemy who has 10 more mana cost. We put it here to defend against back attack. to protect our Merdaali Guardian.
Supply runner 5th position, Attacker. Has the ability Swiftness and Strengthen.Use this monster especially because it has a Swiftness ability with high speed, hoping our attacker Bear and The Coastal Sentry can attack first and do high damage and if lucky can kill the enemy. Swiftness ability will help Bear in front with Enrage to boost the Enrage effect of speed, those will make this bear hard to hit. Strengthen ability will increase all HP monsters by 1, so we will have higher HP than the enemy monsters.
Wave Brood, 6th position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Taunt, Close Range, Void, and Return Fire.I think we need Wave Brood Return Fire ability in this battle. The monster's Taunt ability ensures that enemy monsters will attack this monster if they can. Although Wave Brood is a ranged attacker, its Close Range ability allows it to attack when positioned in the first position. With this monster's Taunt ability, we can share the damage between the monster in the first position (Arkemis the Bear) and this monster. The Void ability will decrease the enemy magic attack by 50%.

The Battle

  • Round 1 :
    After Buff and Debuff, we can see our melee attack decrease by -2 by the enemy monster who has the ability Demoralize the Legionnaire Alvar and Deeplurker. I think we miscalculate the enemy only bring 1 range monster, and not bring monster with Taunt ability so all of our monster attacking the Legionnaire Alvar. Hit by all of our monster and ended with the attack of our Wave Brood which killed the Legionnaire Alvar. After the death of Legionnaire Alvar all of our monster who has melee attacked, increase the damage by 1. Meanwhile the enemy who has high damage Deeplurker and Kulu Mastermind failed to hit our Wave Brood HP because our Swamp Spitter and Merdaali Guardian keep restoring it. The enemy range monster Swamp Spitter hit our Wave Brood and Reflect back give +3 damage which hit the armor. The enemy magic attack although have high damage difficult to kill our Wave Brood because have Void ability.

  • Round 2 :
    After the enemy tanker Legionnaire Alvar die it's easy to kill the enemy Deeplurker who not have defense ability or good speed Hit twice by our Coastal Sentry decrease the HP to zero then with Trample ability immediately attack the enemy Kulu Mastermind behind. After the dead of Deeplurker our melee damage increase again by +1. This Kulu Mastermind have Shield ability so our melee attack decrease by 50%. In this battle we can see that damage of Kulu Mastermind decrease by the Bear ability Halving so from 5 damage become only 2 damage. The other enemy still busy attacking our Wave Brood.

  • Round 3 :
    At the start of the round the enemy Djinn Oshannus attacking our Wave Brood and kill it. Our after attack by our Supply Runner the Kulu Mastermind only left with 1 HP, hit by our Coastal Sentry die and Coastal Sentry immediately attacking Djinn Oshannus, give high damage Djin Oshannus only left with 4 HP, and finally killed by our Bear. After Killed Djinn Oshannus our Bear immediately attacking the enemy Nerissa Tridawn and Halving the magic attack from 5 become only 2. After that for sure the victory become ours, it's impossible for the enemy to killed our Bear who got Heal the HP and Repair armor from Merdaali Guardian and Swamp Spitter.

  • Round 4 :
    The Nerissa Tridawn after hit by Bear, immediately our Coastal Sentry hit the Nerissa Tridawn kill it and attacking the Swamp Spitter and kill it. Double kill by Coastal Sentry ended this battle with victory in our side.

Did your Strategy Work?

There is a strategy that doesn't work because I'm wrongly guess that the enemy monster will use a lot of ranged attacks but it turns out the enemy uses a lot of magic monsters and also two melee monsters with high damage and Opportunity abilities (attacking monster with the lowest HP from any position) luckily with two monsters who have Repair can restore the armor of Wave Brood and prevent the Deeplurker and Kulu Mastermind from decreasing the Wave Brood Hp (only the effect of Cripple decrease the Wave Brood HP) , and there is only 1 range of monsters, but this is also not a problem for our Wave Brood because have the Void ability to handle magic attack, this make Wave Brood without a healer, only repair armor can last until round 3 and This gives enough time for our monsters to kill the enemy monsters in front one by one.
So when Wave Brood dies and all the remaining enemy monsters attack our Bear, its strength/damage is no longer sufficient to kill it.

The enemy at first almost double the damage compare to our monster you can see from the picture below after buff and debuff :


Our team has total 14 damage (including Coastal Sentry Double Strike ability) and the enemy has total 25 damage, but with the right support ability (Repair armor and Void) our Wave Brood can survive long enough.
