Ruleset

firefox_qFWGkXOENJ.png

  • firefox_xlJSRjUSq5.png Reverse Speed, monsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.
  • firefox_rdVoq7fxcP.png What Doesn't Kill You, all monster has Enrage ability.
    • Enrage ability, has increased Speed when damaged, multiplier x1.5 rounded up.
  • firefox_kmY4Nhtuep.png Aimless ruleset, all monsters has Scattershot ability.
    • Scattershot ability will make the attack of range and magic hit a random target.
  • firefox_orOD2s6O0w.png mana cap.
  • firefox_9FU9wMrG9z.png can use Water, and Dragon element.

My Lineup and strategy

Because the Aimless ruleset attacks random targets We decided to use a magic monster as our main attacker because a magic monster hit the enemy's HP ignoring the armor. The magic monsters are usually slow but in this Reverse Speed, this becomes an advantage because the slowest become the fastest. Another strategy we use is using monsters with the Blast ability with this ability every attack can hit several monsters at once. Many magic monsters are weak against attack so we need a great tanker to protect them at least from melee attack. For this strategy, we will use Dragon Summoner lily Shieldpaw to make sure melee attackers attack only our tanker. This summoner will help heal the monster behind who got attacked by Scattershot.

This is my lineup :

Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
firefox_q5RtBU0wSg.pngLily Shieldpaw, summoner. Has the buff of +1 HP, and gives the Camouflage ability to all monsters. have a support ability TriageWith a +1 HP boost our survival capability, with the Camouflage ability makes all enemy melee monsters can only attack our tanker in the first position, Scattershot ability will ignore this Camouflage ability. Triage ability will heal ally monster whose HP has the most decrease and not in the first position.
Baakjira, 1st position, Tanker. Has the ability Void, Slow, Strengthen, and Heal. This monster is capable of defending against melee, ranged, and magical attacks. Especially magic attack because it has Void ability (reducing magic damage by 50%). Strengthen ability (increasing the HP of all allied monsters by +1), and Slow (reducing enemy speed by 1) this will increase the chance for our monster to attack first and kill the enemy monster, With this monster's high HP and Heal ability (restore some HP each round) makes it become a good tanker, at least against melee attack because range and magic monster in this battle will attack random target.
Chaos Dragon, 2nd position, attacker, and tanker. Has Flying, Scattershot, Blast, and Blind AbilitiesHas great attack dealing a significant amount of 4 magic damage. We use this monster because has the Blast ability (every time this monster attacks the enemy monsters it will damage the enemy monster adjacent to it). The Blind ability further increases the dodge capability of all ally monsters by 15% and The Flying ability enhances its evasion chances against melee and ranged attacks by 25% This is the reason we put it in the 2nd position, combined with high armor and HP this monster suitable to become a 2nd tanker. The only weakness is the low speed.
Angelic Mandarin, 3th position, attacker and support. Has Triage and Silence abilityI have chosen to place this monster in its current position in case Chaos Dragon dies this monster will become the next tanker, I think this monster has more HP and speed than other magic monsters behind, hope can evade if attacked by the enemy melee monsters. The Silence ability to reduce the enemy's magic attack by 1. It has a Triage ability which can heal monsters not in the first position together with the summoner will help to increase survival ability of the monsters behind.
firefox_itoKLGdS3y.pngMagi of Chaos, 4th position, attacker. Has **Oppress abilityOppress ability will give double damage if attacked enemy monsters with has no attack. I use this monster because of high magic damage. I put it here because have higher HP than the enemy behind, in case need to move to the first position.
Venari Wavesmith, 5th position, Attacker and Support. Has the ability Protect and DispelProtect ability will add +2 armor to all of our monsters this will help to fight against range monsters in case the enemy bring it, and Dispel will disable all positive buff from the enemy in the first position, this will weaken the enemy and make our monster can kill it faster. We put it here to protect Riverboat Captain due to higher speed.
firefox_wodaSI4MF9.pngRiverboat Captain, 6th position, attacker. Has the ability Blast and AfflictionPlaced in last position because this monster have low HP and low speed easy to die we need this monster Blast ability, Riverboat Captain has useful support ability the Affliction ability will stop the enemy from healing, the chance to inflicted upon the enemy is 50%.

The Battle

I will discuss several things that are quite interesting in each round, the enemy formation prioritizes range attacks, while our formation prioritizes magic attacks:

  • Round 1:
After Buff and Debuff we can see that our monsters have an advantage in speed because the enemy brings the Endura Brune monster which can give an additional speed of +1 to all enemy monsters (in this ruleset the lowest speed become the fastest). Here we can see the Carnage Titan attack twice which couldn't hit the Baakjira in 1st position and also the attack from Runeseer Sevaya on our Magi of Chaos which missed. I think that apart from our speed advantage, the enemy is also affected by the Chaos Dragon Blind ability, thus increasing our chances of dodging enemy attacks.

  • Round 2:
Luck was on our side, the Magi of Chaos attack hit Merdaali Guardian who had a little HP remaining and killed him, thus reducing the number of enemies that could attack. Merdaali Guardian actually couldn't attack but because of the effect Weapons Training from Berix Snakeye causes this unit and Runeseer Sevaya to be able to carry out ranged attacks. In this round Berix Snakeye got the Affliction effect from our Riverboat Captain so they couldn't be healed by their summoner anymore. Meanwhile, our Baakjira was attacked by the Carnage Titan and die, this makes the enemy lose the Slow effect debuff which reduces all enemy speed by 1. This make all enemy's speed increases,

  • Round 3:
In this round we were quite lucky because our Venari Wavesmith was able to kill Carnage Titan which had enormous damage. The effect of the high speed of the enemy is that many enemy attacks on our monsters miss, including:
    • Endura Brune's attack failed to hit Venari Wavesmith.
    • Attacks from Runeseer Sevaya failed to hit Angelic Manderin.

  • Round 4:
No units die in this round.

firefox_xFyHtwQKmQ.gif

  • Round 5:
This time the enemy unit Runeseer Sevaya which died was hit by a random attack from Magi of Chaos, in this round it is almost certain that victory will be ours. There are only 2 remaining enemy units that can attack.

firefox_L1j5yvxzoE.gif

  • Round 6:
The enemy Baakjira is affected by Affliction status from our Riverboat Captain. Because Runeseer Sevaya which has the Cleanse ability (removes all negative status on the monster in first position) on the enemy's side is dead, Baakjira will not be able to heal again.

firefox_Ikn2G9EvLe.gif

  • Round 7:
Berik Snakeye died from the Blast effect from the Chaos Dragon that attacked Baakjira. There is only 1 monster left on the enemy side that can attack.

firefox_GHu40eeM3c.gif

  • Rounds 9-10 :
Because the battle is no longer interesting, we immediately skip to round 9, where both enemy monsters have had their HP reduced a lot, Baakjira dies from an attack from our Magi of Chaos, Endura Brune who advances to position The first one dies from an attack from the Riverboat Captain and victory is ours.

Did your Strategy Work?

There are several strategies that we applied in this battle and all were successful:

  • Baakjira as the tanker in first position who can withstand attacks from the Carnage Titan until the 2nd round.
  • Using Chaos Dragon and Riverboat Captain who has Blast ability, those can damage several enemy at once.
  • Angelic Mandarin which helps summoner Lily Shieldpaw heal monsters that are not in the first position, this makes it difficult for the enemy to kill our monsters in the back position.
  • Using magic monsters that have low speed increases our chances of attacking first in each round, and killing enemy monsters before they can attack, for example Merdaali Guardian in round 2 or Carnage Titan in 3rd round, they all died before they could attack. Other advantage using magic monsters its always hit the target as long as the enemy doesn't have the Phase ability. This is different from the range of monsters on the enemy's side whose attacks we can avoid with the difference in speed and debuff from the Blind ability.
  • Bring Venari Wavesmith a magic monster that gives all our monsters +2 armor so that the enemy's first ranged attack on our monster only hits the armor and does not reduce HP, this makes it difficult for enemy ranged monsters to kill our monsters.

Because this is Aimless ruleset the range and magic monster attack random enemy there is always luck at play, but with good monster formations this luck factor will increase 😇.
