Ruleset

From left to right :

  • Little League, only monster & summoner with 4 mana cost or less can be used in this battle

  • Fog of War, monster lose the Sneak, Snipe, and Opportunity ability :

    • Sneak ability, targets the last Monster on the enemy team instead of the first Monsters.
    • Snipe ability, targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position.
    • Opportunity ability, monsters with the Opportunity ability may attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.
  • Lost legendaries, Legendaries monster can't be used in this battle.

  • Mana Cap 30.

  • Can use element Fire, Water, Life, and Death.

My Lineup and strategy

  • With the Fog of War ruleset, we need to focus fire on attacking the monster in the first position. The farther the monster is from the first position, the safer it is from enemy attacks.
  • Little League and Lost Legendaries ruleset mean the monster we can use is limited. The HP and armor will not be so high. Forget about using a monster with a taunt ability, because there is no monster that cost only 4 mana that has taunt ability. I think the highest damage we can get is 4 in this ruleset. A monster with poison ability is very useful in this battle the HP is not too high easy to kill using the poison effect.

There are several ways to battle in this ruleset, usually I use this method :

  • Using speed, bring high attack monster trying to attack first before the enemy attack, and hoping can kill the enemy first before they can attack or use heal/repair ability.
  • Try to defend by bringing a good tanker. The monster who can restore some HP/armor has good HP/armor, and maybe good defensive ability for a tanker in front is a must if u using this strategy, better if using 2 monsters who can be the main tanker.
To ensure that our monster in the first position can hold long enough :
    • If can bring a monster who can handle all kinds of attack melee, range, and magic monsters.
    • We need monsters who can restore their HP or armor the monster in the first position.

For this battle, we decided to use a defensive strategy, so this is our lineup:

Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
Kelya Frendul, Give armor and speed +1 to all friendly monsters. The ability of this monster is very useful in this battle, armor will be great against the enemy monster with range attack, they need to destroy our monster's armor first before decreasing our monster's HP. high speed will make sure we can attack first, and increase the chance to hit and evade enemy-range and melee monsters.
Xenith Monk, 1st position, attacker and tanker, has ability Heal, Void, and Magic Reflect.I used this monster mainly because has Void ability if attack by magic attack will decrease the damage by half. Another skill he has like Magic Reflect, can reflect back the magic attack and give damage to the attacker. Heal ability will restore some HP back every round, prolonging this monster's life. This monster can handle all types of attacks, for a 4 mana cost it has good HP, the weakness only has 2 damage and he doesn't have any armor, fortunately, we use Kelya Frendul.
Tide Biter, 2nd position, Attacker and 2nd tanker, has ability Reach, Reflection Shield, and True Aim.Can attack from 2nd position because has reach ability. Reflection Shield ability will ignore the damage of the Thorns and Blast effect. This monster can't miss. always hit the monster because of the ability of True Aim. Has good damage of 3, and a speed of 4.
Merdhampir, 3rd position, attacker and 3rd tanker. Has the ability Life leechPlaced in third place as a 3rd tanker because has Life leech in case the Tide Bitter died, at that time I think this monster may have good HP already. After seeing the battle again I think I make a mistake in choosing this monster, but we will talk about it later in the last section
Merdaali Guardian, 4th position, Support, has the ability Tank Heal, Repair, and Strengthen. This monster is crucial in this battle to prolong the life of the 3 monsters in front. With the ability Tank Heal and Repair, can restore some HP and armor lost from the enemy attack. Strengthen ability give +1 HP to all friendly monster this ability is useful too, with more HP giving more chance to survive the enemy attack.
Angelic Mandarin, 5th position, attacker and support. Has Triage and Silence abilityI have chosen to place this monster in its current position to make sure it can life longer because it possesses the Silence ability to reduce the enemy's magic attack by 1, in case the enemy brings many magic monsters. It has a Triage ability which can heal monsters not in the first position.
Kulu Swimhunter, 6th position, attacker, has no ability. We used this monster because of his high damage of 4. For the Little League ruleset, I think 4 is the highest damage we can get. With the high speed of 5 increases the chance to attack first and make the attack always hit the enemy monster.

The Battle

  • Round 1:
As usual, the battle started with Buff and Debuff from both sides.
The enemy got buff speed from River Nymph making the speed of all enemy monsters higher than our speed for a monster of the same kind, they attack first. The enemy monster tanker Cruel Sethropod has more armor and attack than our tanker Xenith Monk, but can't heal though. Our Xenith Monk almost died by the enemy River Nymph fortunately the enemy River Nymph attack is magic with only 1 damage, because of the void armor, no damage to Xenith Monk, instead it reflecting back the magic attack to River Nymph and give 1 damage.

  • Round 2:
Our Xenith Monk was killed by the enemy Angelic Mandarin in this round, making our Tide Bitter move to the first position. Tide Bitter is weak against magic attack fortunately the attack of River Nymph already reduce by our Angelic Mandarin Silence ability.
The situation looks dangerous though, our Tide Bitter almost die in this round.

  • Round 3:
As the round before the enemy of the same kind attacked first due to higher speed, our Tide Biter not has a chance to attack after being hit by 3 monsters and ended up killed by enemy Merdhampir.
After Tide Biter dies, our Medhampir moves to first position, so can't attack anymore. Fortunately, we can kill enemy Tide Biter in this round. So their Angelic Mandarin move to the first position and can't attack anymore. So now 4 against 4 but the enemy has 3 attackers and we only 2.

  • Round 4:
No monster die in this round, the enemy Merdhampir has cripple ability making our Merdhampir max HP decrease so our healer can't fully heal the HP anymore, if it goes on like this for sure we will lost.
No monster die in this round.

  • Round 5:
In this round finally, the enemy Angelic Mandarin dies killed by our Angelic Mandarin, and enemy Merdhampir moves to the first position so can't attack anymore.

  • Round 6:
We can see in this round that the enemy for sure can't kill our Merdhampir with only 2 attackers, because the attack of the enemy Kulu Swimhunter hit the armor and the River Nymph attack hit our HP, but our Merdaali Guardian will restore it completely every round. The enemy Merdhampir's HP will decrease every round until dies because not bring any healer.

  • Round 7-8:
For more clarity on the situation, we will look at round 7-9. We can see the enemy River Nymph and Kulu Swimhunter can't kill our Medhampir, every round the Merdaali Guardian restores the Armor and HP. Finally at round 8 the enemy Merdhampir die attacked by our Angelic Mandarin.

  • Round 9-11:
After the enemy Merdhampir dies, their Kulu Swimhunter moves to the first position, at round 11 Their Kulu Swimhunter is killed by our Kulu Swimhunter, and in round 12 Their River Nymph is killed by our Kulu Swimhunter.
With the death of the enemy River Nymph, the victory becomes ours.

Did your strategy work?

The enemy prioritizes damage and speed by using the River Nymph which has the Swiftness ability which can increase the speed of all friendly monsters by +1, so they can attack first.
While we relied on Heal and Repair to make the monsters that act as tankers survive longer, this strategy works quite well. The enemy has difficulty killing our tankers in front, while we can kill enemy tankers more easily because there are no monsters who have healers and repairs on the enemy's side.
Above we mentioned that there was an error in choosing the Merdhampir monster because what I used was a scholar account and I got the max level Medhampir card by a delegate from a friend, without realizing it the card had already been undelegated, so I only used the Merdhampir card in that account. which has level 3.
You can see a pretty big difference between level 3 and the max level in the following picture:

At the max level, this monster has an additional damage of 2 and a speed and HP of 1, even so, we still win thanks to the Heal and Repair abilities.

Thank you, my friend, for taking the time to review my battle report. I appreciate your efforts and would be grateful if you could provide me with feedback on any mistakes you find by leaving a comment.

Interesting battle and very good strategy! I was recently able to get MERDAALI GUARDIAN to level 5 (gold league play) and take advantage of both heal and repair abilities but I haven't had a chance to use this card yet, your strategy has motivated me to start using it. Mana limit = 4 games are quite a challenge, congratulations!
