Hello everyone, today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Going The Distance ruleset.

I play in the Modern Format Diamond League, using my scholar account from Balthazar I only use cheap cards like Chaos, Reward, and some Neutral.

Ruleset

• Little League Only Summoners or Monsters who cost 4 mana or less can use in this battle.
• Going the distance, only monsters with range attack can be used in this battle.
• mana cap.
• can use Earth, Death, and Dragon element.

My Lineup and strategy

Because in this battle we can use the Dragon element, we will use the Dragon element because there is a Quix summoner that can reduce the damage range on the enemy's side, with the second element Death which has a lot of small mana range monsters.

This is my lineup :

	Quick the Devious, Summoner. Can decrease enemy monster speed and range damage by -1	We used this Dragon summoner because it can decrease enemy range monster damage and increase the chance for our monster to attack first, and evade the enemy attack by reducing the enemy's speed by -1.
	Venari Marksrat, 1st position, Tanker and Support, has the ability Martyr and Ensnare.	We used this monster to boost the stats of the Naga Assasin with the Martyr ability If this monster dies all the stats of the monster adjacent to it will increase. The Ensnare ability will disable the Flying ability from the enemy monster who got attacked by this monster. This monster can't attack in this position because it has a range attack.
	Naga Assassin, 2bd position, Tanker. Has the ability Backfire, and Swiftness.	I use this monster because of the Swiftness ability which can increase all friendly monster speeds by 1. Another reason I put this in the 2nd position so it can get a Martyr boost from Venari Marksrat, because with high speed and The Backfire ability will give damage to the enemy monster if this monster can evade the attack. later if this monster moves to the first position we hope that the enemy monster in the first position has a hard time hitting this monster and got Backfire damaging many enemies. This monster will only attacked by 1 enemy monster in the first position because of the ruleset.
	Weirding Warrior. 3rd position, Attacker and Support, has the ability Shatter, Amplify, and Rust ability	We use this monster because of the Rust ability which can decrease the enemy armor by -2. Amplify is useless in this battle. Shatter ability will destroy the enemy armor with 1 attack. As an attacker, this monster only has small damage and HP.
	Soul Strangler, 4th position, Attacker. Has ability Poison	For 3 mana this monster has high damage but is fragile because of its small HP and low speed. I hope this monster can hit the enemy and inflict the Poison effect (every round the enemy's HP will decrease by -2). I made this monster our main attacker, so we put it in the last position.

Did your Strategy Work?

Our strategy of using Naga Assassin with high speed and Backfire ability to kill/reduce the enemy's HP was unsuccessful because the enemy did not succeed in killing our tanker in the first position. The enemy brings Ravenhood Warden which can provide armor to all enemy units but we have the Rust ability of Wierding Armor, so the enemy still doesn't have armor. The enemy Weirding Armor who have Rust also doesn't have any impact on our monsters because none of them have armor. The damage to all enemy monsters was only 1 because they were decrease by a debuff from our summoner so it was difficult to kill our tanker Venari Marksrat. Meanwhile, the damage from our main attacker Soul Strangler by 3 reduces the enemy's HP a lot. Likewise, the speed of our unit is higher because of the Swiftness ability from Naga assassin, so our unit attacks first and kills many enemy monsters.
