Hello everyone, how are you? I hope all have many wins in the Splinterland battle. Today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is FabFour ruleset.

I play in the Modern Format Diamond League, using my scholar account from Balthazar I only use cheap cards like Chaos, Reward, and some Neutral.

Ruleset

  • firefox_5Cgkh5x8ei.png Noxious Fumes: All monsters have started a battle with poison status, starting at round 2 the HP will decrease -2 each round.
  • Target Practice: All range and magic monsters have the Snipe ability.
    • Snipe ability, targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position
  • FabFour, up to four units can be used in this battle.
  • mana cap.
  • can use elements Fire, Earth, Death, and Dragon.

My Lineup and strategy

  • Because of the Noxious Fumes ruleset, I decided to use monsters from the Death element because 2 monsters in it are immune to poison/all kinds of negative effects.
  • For Target Practice I will use a monster with a range type who has Martyr ability and hope the enemy brings a monster with a range/magic attack so they can kill it.
  • The FabFour ruleset limits our monster slots, so we will ensure that monsters other than monsters with the Immunity ability can help attack/provide support to our main attacking monster.

This is my lineup :

Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
Thaddius Brood, Summoner. Can decrease enemy monster magic damage and HP by -1This summoner is great against magic attacks. Will be useful in case the enemy brings a magic monster. In this Noxious Fumes ruleset bring a summoner who can decrease the enemy HP will make the poison more effective.
Chaos Agent, 1st Position, Tanker, Has Ability Dodge, Phase, and BackfirePlace in the first position, to protect our attacker. This monster although can't attack can reflect the enemy's attack if the enemy attacks this monster and misses. With the Backfire ability it will deal 2 damage. It has a good evade ability, the Dodge ability which increases the chance of avoiding enemy attacks by 25%. Phase allows this monster to avoid magic-type attacks.
Venari Marksrat, 3rd position, Attacker and Support, has the ability Martyr, Ensnare, and Shatter. This monster's main job is to give Martyr ability to a monster adjacent to this monster, it will boost all the stats of the monster in the 1st and 3rd position. The Ensnare ability will disable the Flying ability from the enemy monster who got attacked by this monster. This monster attack if hit can destroy all the armor of the monster
Harklaw,3rd position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Shield, Immunity, and Demoralize. This is the attacker and tanker for this Ruleset Noxious Fumes , With Immunity this monster is immune to all negative statuses, like Poison Blind, Demoralize, etc. With the ability Shield will decrease the melee/range damage by 50%, if the enemy only has 1 melee damage this monster will ignore the damage. This monster has the Demoralize ability to further decrease all enemy melee monster damage by -1. In short, this monster is strong against melee and range attacks but weak against magic attacks. Fortunately, our summoner can decrease all enemy magic attacks by -1.
Revealer, 4th position, attacker. Has the ability Stun, Immunity, and Reflection Shield. This is our 2nd monster with an Immunity ability like Harklaw. This monster is weak against attack and easy to die so I have a hard time deciding where to put it, finally I decided to give it in the last position, hoping the enemy not bring monsters with the Sneak ability. Have Reflection Shield ability to nullify the effect of the Blast/Magic Reflect. The Stun ability will disable the movement of the enemy monster by 1 round..

Our Formation is finished and we are ready to battle :

Did your Strategy Work?

This battle is difficult because the enemy brings the melee monster Wailing Wraith which has the Reach ability so it can attack from second position. Meanwhile, our monster Revealer only has magic damage of 1 because of the effect of the enemy summoner which reduces the magic damage of all our monsters.

Luckily we brought Harklaw who has the Demoralize ability, so the damage from Curse Windeku and Wailing Wrath is reduced by -1.

Thank you, my friend, for taking the time to review my battle report. I appreciate your efforts and would be grateful if you could provide me with feedback on any mistakes you find by leaving a comment.
