Hello, greeting everyone, how are you? I hope everyone has a good day. Today I want to write a blog again in Splinterlands Hive Community for Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Little League ruleset.

I play in the modern format, Diamond League, using my scholar account from Balthazar. This is their Discord if u want to join.

Ruleset

From left to right :

  • Healed Out, all healing abilities is disabled from monsters and summoners.

  • Little League, Only Summoners and monsters with 4 or less mana cost can be used.

  • Aim True, The attack of the monsters always hit their enemy.

  • Has mana cap 47.
  • Can use the element Earth, Life, and Dragon.

My Lineup and strategy

Some Tips and strategies we can use :

  • For this ruleset Healed Out make sure u not bring any monster who has Heal ability (Triage, Heal, or Tank Heal), especially if that monster can't attack.
  • Little League in this ruleset all monster who can be used is weaker than usual battle. Forget about the Legendary summoner, or monster with Taunt ability they can't be used in this battle. Buff and debuff play an important role in this ruleset. example +1 speed, -1 or +1 attack (melee, range, or magic), will be a huge boost in the Little League. Combined with Aim True ruleset There are many strategies to use from using the monsters with Sneak or Opportunity abilities or using the focus fire strategy for all monsters attacking the enemy monsters in the first position. Because we can't miss when attacked we must bring the monsters with great attack. The Poison ability become more dangerous in this Little League ruleset, the HP of the monster not big.
A player who just starting to play Splinterlands usually will try to look for maks 4 mana cost monster because they think if it cost more then the monster will be better, but that's not true, we need strategy and need monsters who compatible with each other to kill the enemy fast.

The next step is we look at the element we can use. It only has 3 elements and no one has a summoner who can add armor. We decided to use Dragon summoner and Life as the second element because can give Buff +1 speed and Life has a tanker monster who I think is good enough because can reflect magic, Ignore the first damage, and have good HP. So basically with our Summoner, we try to restrict range damage by decreasing the attack by 1, then with our tanker monsters, we try to handle the enemy magic monsters, their attack will reflect and decrease their HP. For the attacker we choose to use a monster with Sneak and Opportunity abilities cause I think they have great damage, the enemy may think the same so we will use a monster with good tanker stats in the back. We will talk about it more in the lineup discussion :

Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
Quick the Devious, Summoner. Can decrease enemy monster speed and range damage by -1We used this Dragon summoner because it can decrease enemy range monster damage and make our monster attack first by reducing the enemy's speed -1
image.pngPelacor Conjurer, 1st position, Tanker. Has the ability Flying, Magic Reflect, Divine Shield, and Phase. With this monster, we can reflect Magic attacks back to the enemy. The ability Magic Reflect deals damage equivalent to the attacker's damage divided by 2, rounded up. The Flying and Phase ability is disabled in this Aim True ruleset. Has the ability Divine Shield first time it is hit by the enemy monster the damage will be ignored. We put it in the first position because can reflect the magic attack, for 2 mana cost with 8 HP is great too bad this monster can't attack.
Stitch Leech, 2nd position, attacker. Has the ability Sneak, and Life Leech. This melee monster can attack from any position because has a Sneak ability, this monster will attack the opponent in the last position. With Life Leech's ability every time this monster attacks and decreases the enemy's HP, the HP will increase according to the damage dealt. I hope this monster when the Pelacor Conjurer die can be 2nd tanker with high HP already. Has high damage of 4.
Dhampir Infiltrator 3rd position, attacker. Has the ability Sneak, Double Strike, Cripple, and AfflictionWith the Double Strike ability this monster every round attack twice and gives total damage of 4. This monster with the Stitch Leech will focus fire attacking the monster in the last position. The Cripple ability will decrease the enemy's maximum HP by 1 every time this monster attack hit, useful if the enemy has armor the HP still decreases. Affliction ability is useless in this battle because this ability will disable the healing which already disable by the ruleset. This monster is easy to die because doesn't has armor, low HP or an ability like Life Leech to increase the HP, so I put it in the 3rd position.
Uraeus, 4th position, attacker. Has the ability Sneak, and Poison.Use this monster because of the poison ability. Will cooperate with Stitch leech and Dhampir Infiltrator to attack the enemy monster in the last position with Sneak ability. With armor, it have this monster more good than Dhampir in the defending section so I put it in the 4th position to protect the Dhampir from monsters with the Sneak ability
Celestial Harpy, 5th position, attacker. Has the ability Flying, Opportunity, and True Strike. This monster can attack from any position, with the Opportunity ability will attack the monster with the lowest HP. The True Strike ability is the same ability as the Aim True ruleset. Use these monsters because only cost 2 mana and can attack from any position. Although this monster doesn't have any armor we put it behind Uraeus to protect the monster with the Sneak ability who become our main attacker.
image.pngBlinding Reflector, 6th position, Defender. Has Magic Reflect, and Blind AbilitiesBlind ability is disabled because of the ruleset Aim True. This monster has armor so put it in the back to protect against monsters with Sneak abilities. With 3 mana cost 5 armor and 6 HP is a great defender against monster attacks with the Sneak ability.

The Battle

  • Round 1:
Our prediction is wrong, the enemy brings monsters who focus on attacking our monster in the first position with one monster Vruz who has Martyr ability behind who can increase all the enemy stats adjacent to it when this monster dies, it looks like we will be in trouble, the enemy already predict that we will use the monsters with Sneak ability.
The enemy Vruz die attacked by Uraeus in this round and boosts the stats of Doctor Blight and Venari Crystalsmith. The enemy Time Mage attacked our Pelacor Conjurer and reflected back causing a decrease of HP and left with only 2 HP and was attacked by our Celestial Harpy and die. The enemy Venary Crystalsmith was attacked by our Dhampir, Stitch Leech, and died. Our Frontline tanker **Pelacor Conjurer ** die attacked by the enemy Doctor Blight.

  • Round 2 :
The enemy Twilight Basilisk dies attacked by our Celestial Harpy. After receiving an attack from 3 enemies our Stitch Leech die attacked by Doctor Blight.

  • Round 3:
With the combination attack of Uraeus, Dhampir Infiltrator and Celestial Harpy we manage to kill the enemy Blinding Reflector. The enemy Doctor Blight with 9 HP moves to the first position and attacked our Dhampir and poisons it.

  • Round 4-5:
Our Dhampir Infiltrator die in this round 4 killed the poison effect. Our Uraeus attacked Doctor Blight and poison it, at round 5 the poison took effect and decrease the enemy Doctor Blight's HP to 4, and then attacked by Uraeus and Celestial Harpy finally killed the last enemy monster Doctor Blight.

Did your Strategy Work?

Yes, the Strategy is working although our prediction is wrong the enemy prioritizes front attack, and our Blinding Reflector who suppose to defend against the enemy monsters who have Sneak ability is rather useless only attacked by the enemy Vruz once and can't help to attack the enemy monster. We have a disadvantage in speed, the enemy has more speed because bring the Time Mage who can decrease the speed by -1. Pelacor Conjurer help to reflect the enemy's Magic damage making our Celestial Harpy easier to kill the enemy Time Mage. Our summoner Quix the Devious help to decrease the enemy range attack Venary Crystalsmith. Because our frontline can hold long enough the Pelacor Conjurer and Stitch Leech give a chance to other monster Celestial Harpy, Uraeus, and Dhampir Infiltrator to destroy the enemy backline.
