Ruleset
- Armored Up, All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
- Melee Mayhem, A melee monster can attack from any position, it will attack the monster in the first position.
- equalizer All monsters have the same HP based on the highest HP the monster has in the battle.
- mana cap.
- can use Fire, Life, Death and Dragon element.
My Lineup and strategy
- In the Melee Mayhem ruleset and there is a Life element, usually, we will use the Life element because there is Jared Scar a melee unit that is very strong in attacking but he is weak when attacked. This monster can normally only attack when it is in the first position which causes it to die quickly when attacked. This is different in Melee Mayhem which allows us to place this unit in the back, safe from enemy attacks.
- The Equalizer ruleset causes all monsters to have the same amount of HP, all of our monsters should focus on attacking 1 monster so they can kill the enemy quickly.
- In the Armored Up ruleset, melee and ranged attacks are reduced in strength because they have to destroy the armor first before they can reduce the enemy's HP and kill him. This is different from magic which ignores armor and directly attacks/reduces HP.
This is my lineup :
Summoner or monster | Abilities | Description |
---|---|---|
Quick the Devious, Summoner. Can decrease enemy monster magic speed and range damage by -1 | We used this Dragon summoner because it can decrease enemy range monster damage and make our monster attack first by reducing the enemy's speed -1 | |
Chaos Agent, 1st Position, Tanker, has ability Dodge, Phase, and Backfire | Placed in the 1st position because it has the Dodge ability it increases the chance of avoiding enemy attacks by 25%, ability Backfire makes every attack successfully avoided by this monster the damage reflect to the enemy and deals 2 damage, Phase ability make this monster can evade the magic attack. Put it here because this monster has good defense ability and stats. Another reason because we want to get Weapons Training ability from Aves Sturgis | |
Aves Sturgis, 2nd position, Attacker, has ability Weapons Training, Divine Shield, and Rust | Placed in the 2nd position because has Weapons Training ability with this ability the monster who doesn't have any attack adjacent to this monster Chaos Agent and Pelacor Conjurer will get this unit +3 magic attack. Divine Shield ability will ignore damage from the enemy's first attack. Support ability Rust will decrease the enemy armor by -2 so the ruleset Armored Up will not increase any armor to the enemy. | |
Pelacor Conjurer, 3rd position, Tanker. Has the ability Flying, Magic Reflect, Divine Shield, and Phase. | We put this monster in the 3rd position to get the Weapons Training effect from Aves Sturgis who will give magic attack +3 to this monster. This monster every time attacked by a magic attack reflects the damage back to the enemy. The ability Magic Reflect deals damage equivalent to the attacker's damage divided by 2, rounded up. The Flying ability can increase the chance to dodge enemy ranged attacks by 25%. This monster can evade the enemy's magic attack because has the ability Phase. | |
Jared Scar, 4th position, attacker. Has Bloodlust, True Aim, and Piercing Abilities | This is our main attacker, put in this 4th position to protect it from the front and back attack, to give it the time to kill the enemy so Bloodlust (every time this monster kill enemy monsters all stats will increase) can be activated. This monster can't miss with the True Aim Ability, and the Piercing ability makes this monster more dangerous because every time it attacks after destroying the armor the left damage will hit the HP. | |
Time Mage, 5th position, attacker and support. Has the ability Slow, and Rust. | With Aves Sturgis Rust ability we now have 2 Rust abilities this will decrease the enemy base armor by -2. The support ability Slow can decrease the speed of all enemy monsters by -1, increasing the chance of our monster attacking first and Increasing the Chance for Chaos Agent and Pelacor Conjurer to evade the enemy attack because these 2 monsters have great defense using speed. | |
Vulguine, 6th position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Scavenger, Dodge, and Enrage | Placed in the last position in case the enemy brings a monster with Sneak ability this monster has a Dodge ability that can increase the chance to evade the enemy melee and range monster by 25%. Further increase in the capability to evade the enemy attack come from Enrage's ability when this monster's HP decreases will increase the damage and speed. The Scavenger ability increases the HP every time any monster dies. |
The Battle
- Round 1
- Round 2
- Round 3
- Round 4-5
Did your Strategy Work?
Yes, the strategy we use works well by using the double Rust ability from Aves Sturgis and Time Mage decrease the armor from the ruleset Armored Up and base armor of the enemy, making the enemy unit Skyspire Yak decreased attack ability, apart from having melee attacks, this monster can also attack with its armor.
At the start of the buff this monster has 5 armor and after the effect of the debuff (double Rust ability) this monster has only 1 armor:
Because the armor from the enemy monster got decreased our melee monsters Jared Scar and Vulguine are easier to kill enemy monsters.
With Weapons Training from Aves Sturgis, the Pelacor Conjurer and Chaos Agent can now attack with high magic damage.
This seems to be unexpected by the enemy so they only use the Gargoya Scrapper monster which has the Void ability which can reduce magic damage by 50% and not the **Pelacor Pelacor Conjurer which can reflect and also avoid magic attacks. The magic attack here really helps to reduce the enemy's HP, but the biggest attack comes from our melee unit Jared Scar because of the Bloodlust ability.
Enemies who rely on melee attacks have difficulty killing our monsters because:
- There is armor from the Armored Up ruleset
- Our tanker Chaos Agent has good dodging abilities so that several enemy attacks can be avoided and give damage back because of the Backfire ability when Chaos Agent attacked by the enemy Skyspire Yak and misses it destroys the armor of Skyspire Yak can only attack with a melee attack.
- The Divine shield ability from Aves Sturgis, this monster in round 2 can even survive Jared Scar attacks because it has additional armor. This prevents Jared Scar from activating his Bloodlust ability.
