New Ruleset Maneuvers In Low Mana Battle, Opening New Formation In Life Element


Hello everybody, I hope you all have a good day and chest in Splinterlands :). Today I will make a post about the Splinterlands contest Social Media Challenge, about the new ruleset Maneuvers.

I play in the Modern Format Diamond League, using my scholar account from Balthazar I only use cheap cards like Chaos, Reward, and some Neutral.

Ruleset

  • Even Stevens, only monsters with even mana cost can be used in this battle.

  • Maneuvers, all monster has Reach ability.

    • Reach ability, all melee monsters can attack from the second position.
  • mana cap.
  • can use element Fire, Earth, Life and Dragon.

My Lineup and strategy

Of the four elements that are usually suitable for use is Life. There are many small mana monsters there.

Usually, in battles with small mana like this, most people's favorite (attack the enemy monster in the last position) e formation is to put Pelacor Conjurer a monster with 2 mana that can dodge all attacks very well in the first position, and using a unit with the Sneak (attack monster in the last position) or Opportunity (attack monsters with the lowest HP) ability :
but with the Maneuvers ruleset it allows us to use a new formation which focuses attacking monster in the first position.

This is my lineup :

Quick the Devious, Summoner. Can decrease enemy monster speed and range damage by -1We used this Dragon summoner because it can decrease enemy range monster damage and increase chance for our monster to attack first by reducing the enemy's speed by -1.
Celestial Harpy, 1st position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Flying, Opportunity, and True Strike.This monster can attack from any position, with the Opportunity ability (attack the monster with the lowest HP), but in this battle, we put it in the 1st position because we want to maximize the ruleset. The True Strike ability makes this monster attack can't miss so if the enemy puts the Pelacor Conjurer tanker who hard to hit in front this monster will not have any problem.
image.pngVulguine, 2nd position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Scavenger, Dodge, and EnragePlaced in the 2nd position because this monster has The Scavenger ability which increases the HP every time any monster dies. I hope that when this monster advances to first place it will have quite a lot of HP. With a Dodge ability increases the chance to evade the enemy melee and range monster by 25%. Further increase in the capability to evade the enemy attack comes from Enrage's ability when this monster's HP decreases will increase the damage and speed. When this monster moves to the first position and gets Enrage effect this monster will be hard to hit.
Soul Fiend, 3th position, Attacker and Support. Has Swiftness ability.After placing the monster in front and back we don't have mana left anymore, so we use this monster with the zero cost mana. This monster is perfect because it can give +1 speed to all our monsters. With better speed, our chance to attack first, hit the enemy, and evade the enemy attack will increase. It can help to attack but don't count too much on this monster, it has a low attack and easy-to-die monster.
Dax Paragon, 4th position, attacker. Has the ability Amplify, Affliction.I use this unit because only costs 2 mana and has decent stats and attack. It has an Affliction ability this is a useful skill if the enemy brings a monster with a heal ability, if the monster is hit by Affliction status it can't heal, and the chance for inflicting the status every time this monster attacks is 50%. Because we don't use Pelacor Conjurer the Amplify ability is useless in this battle.
Xenith Archer, 5th position, tanker. Has no ability.Same reason as the Dax Paragon we use it because only costs 2 mana have good stats.
Naga Assassin, 6th position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Taunt, Backfire, and Swiftness.I use this monster because of the Swiftness ability which can increase all friendly monster speeds by 1. I put this in the last position is that this monster has a high speed of 6 and maybe can evade several enemy attacks before it dies. The Backfire ability will give damage to the enemy monster if this monster can evade the attack.

Did your Strategy Work?

Yes, the Strategy worked but this is a difficult battle because the enemy uses magic monsters that are difficult to deal with in battles with low mana, namely Doctor Blight, our monster in front is weak against magic attacks, but thanks to Vulguine which has the Scavenger ability and a big attack after Enrage activated we can win the battle this time. The Maneuvers ruleset also allows the Soul Fiend behind Vulguine to attack the enemy Naga Assassin when Vulguine advances to the first position, causing him to have 3 HP left and Vulguine's next attack succeeds in killing him:

Of course there is always a luck factor that plays a role in every battle in Splinterlands, this time we were lucky because Doctor Blight's attack did not have a poison effect on Vulguine, so Vulguine was able to survive until the end and deal great damage to * Doctor Blight* :
