Tanker Who Strong Against Any Attack + Luck, Easy Win In The Even Stevens Ruleset

Hello everyone, how are you? I hope all have a great weekend. Today I will make a post again about the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge. This Week's Theme is Even Stevens ruleset.

I play in the Modern Format Diamond League, using my scholar account from Balthazar I only use cheap cards like Chaos, Reward, and some Neutral.

Ruleset

  • chrome_jZ6ifpUZSC.png Equalizer ruleset, all monsters have the same HP based on the highest HP the monster has in the battle.
  • Up to Eleven ruleset, all monsters have Amplify ability.
    • Amplify ability will increase the effect of Thorns, Magic Reflect and Return Fire by 1
  • Even Stevens, only monsters with even mana cost can be used in this battle.
  • mana cap.
  • can use elements Earth, Life and Death.

My Lineup and strategy


My thinking about the ruleset in this battle and how I will choose my formation and the monsters :

  • In the battle with the Even Stevens ruleset, not many monsters can attack from behind, so we usually assume that the enemy will attack from the front.
  • And with the Equalizer ruleset, where all monsters have the same amount of HP to win this battle we need to focus on attacking 1 monster so we can kill it quickly, therefore we decided to attack the enemy monster at first position because there are far more monsters that can attack the enemy in the first position than monsters that can attack the enemy from behind.
  • For the Up to Eleven ruleset, we don't consider it when selecting our units.

This is my lineup :

Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
Immortalis, Summoner. Can decrease all enemy monsters' HP by -1. Have Void, and Shatter abilitiesWe use this summoner because having Void ability can decrease the enemy magic attack by 50% so we can focus to handle the range and melee damage, Shatter ability will destroy all armor from the monster we hit with only 1 attack.
Mycelic Infantri, 1st position, attacker and tanker. It has the ability Shield,Giant Killer, and Enrage.Put this here as a main tanker because it has Shield ability which will decrease the enemy melee and range damage by 50%. Besides negative status like Poison, stun, cripple, etc, the weakness is only the magic attack but because of the summoner Immortalist, this monster now can decrease the damage of all attacks by 50%. Giant Killer ability will make double damage if it attacks a monster with 10 or more mana costs. This monster has slow speed with great damage especially when the HP decreases and activates the Enrage ability, which boosts the damage and speed of the melee monster.
Dumacke Orc, 2nd position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Shield, Thorns, and Retaliate.Same as Mycelic Infantry has Shield ability. In this position, this monster can't attack we put it here as a 2nd tanker because there high probability that the enemy will attack our monster in the first position so we need more tankers, and this is strong against any attack. With the Retaliate ability if this hits by the enemy then you have a 50% chance to hit back and the Thorns ability will decrease the melee attacker's hp by -2 if he hits this monster. This is a powerful monster against melee attacks, has base stats of 1 HP so it's weak against monsters with Sneak ability who have Poison attack but because of the Equalizer ruleset this monster is not easy to die even if got poison status.
Iza the Fang, 3rd position, attacker. Have abilities Sneak, Scavenger, and Stun.I use this monster to surprise the enemy because I believe our tanker is strong enough to hold until we can kill the enemy in the backline, this is a rare monster that can attack a monster in the last position with even mana requirement. I put this monster in this position because has a Scavenger ability which will increase the HP each time any monster dies, I hope when this monster moves to the first position already has high HP so can last long as a tanker, although this monster can't attack when moved to the first position because have range attack type. Stun ability makes the enemy can't do anything in 1 round, the chance to give Stun status to the enemy every attack is 50%, this will be useful to decrease the enemy's attack power.
Goblin Psychic, 4th position, Attacker and Support. Have abilities Heal, Affliction, and Silence.This monster has many good support abilities, but the speed is only 1 easy to die when attacked by the enemy, so I put it in this position to make sure it's safe from the front and back attack, at least for a while. While our attacker kills the enemy this monster can heal our tanker monster in the front. The Silence ability will decrease all enemy magic damage by -1. The Affliction ability effect has a 50% chance to inflict upon attack on the enemy monster, when the enemy monster gets Affliction status it can't be healed again.
Queen Mycelia, 5th position, Attacker and Support. Have Protect, Amplify, Triage, and Rust abilitiesSame as Goblin Psychic, this monster is weak and has low speed, damage, and HP so easy to kill but has great support ability. Protect ability will increase all friendly monster armor by +2. Amplify ability same as the Up to Eleven ruleset in this battle. The Triage ability will heal the monster with the most decreased HP who is not in the first position. Rust will decrease all enemy armor by -2. Put in behind Goblin Psychic cause has low stats.
Supply Runner, 6th position, attacker and support. Has Swiftness, and Strengthen abilityWe need this monster to boost all our monster speed by +1 because it has Swiftness ability. The Strengthen ability will make all of our monsters live longer by enhancing the HP by +1.

Did your Strategy Work?

Yes, the strategy works perfectly all our monsters are still alive until the end of the battle. With the help of our Summoner Immortalist who gives Void ability, Mycelic Infantry Shield ability, and Goblin Psychic Silence the enemy Doctor Blight and Usut do not give any damage from the magic attack.

Besides strategy I think our luck / RNG is on our side, the Affliction status from the enemy Doctor Blight only hit our Mycelic Infantry at round 7, so it stops our Goblin psychic from healing Mycelic Infantry.
