Hello Splinterlover how are you? Still enjoying playing Splinterlands? I have fun every day playing this game. Today I will make a blog again for the Splinterlands contest Battle Mage Secrets Challenge this is about the battle in Unprotected ruleset.

I play in the Modern Format, Gold League, using my scholar account from Balthazar. This is their Discord if u want to join, but u must waitlist first because right now the scholar is full.

Ruleset

• 

Little League Only Summoners or Monsters who cost 4 mana or less can used in this battle.

• Unprotected, all monster armor is disabled, and all buff which gives armor from summoner or monsters not working in this ruleset.

• Can You Not Entertained?. Monsters from Gladius pack can be used in this battle. Gladius pack We buy from the guild shop with Merit points. Merit points we get from chests or battle in Brawl (guild vs guild).

• mana cap.
• can use element Fire, Water, Life, and Dragon.

My Lineup and strategy

• For the Unprotected ruleset we need fast speed and good damage, this is actually the same strategy as when battling in Little League, Whoever has higher speed and good damage has a higher chance to win, right?
• For the Can You Not Entertained? I don't have a good Gladius card level to play with the element I want to use, so I don't bring it.

We decided to use a monster who can do a front attack and focus on attacking the enemy monster in the first position., because it's a Little League ruleset so no team will use a monster with Taunt ability, with no armor it will be easier for our range and melee monster to kill the enemy. Just for info Taunt ability will make monsters attack the monster with Taunt ability if they can, so our attack is split in front attack and to the monster with Taunt ability and become weaker. we will use range and melee monster, we don't use magic because it's slow and the advantage of magic can decrease the enemy's HP without the need to destroy the armor first, but because of the ruleset, the magic attack lost some advantage. I think the advantage of using magic in this battle is that it can act as a tanker and can attack in the first position. our lineup :

Summoner or monster	Abilities	Description
	Quick the Devious, Summoner. Can decrease enemy monster speed and range damage by -1	We used this Dragon summoner because no armor can be added to the monsters so better if we decrease the range attack I believe the enemy will use range monster because has a faster speed than magic monster.
	Pelacor Bandit, 1st position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Sneak, and Flying.	This monster has fast speed and great damage, and with Flying ability will increase the chance to evade the enemy melee and range attack by 25%. This is our first tanker, with no armor we depend on speed and Flying ability, hope can evade a lot of attacks.
	Twilight Basilisk, 2nd position, attacker and 2nd tanker. Has the ability Reach, and Stun.	This monster has good speed we need the Stun ability this monster has, If the monster who got attacked is inflicted with Stun status that monster can't attack for 1 turn. The chance for every attack inflicted a Stun status is 50%. With Reach ability, this monster can attack from the 2nd position.
	Venator Kinjo 3rd position, Support. Has the abilities Reflection Shield, Camouflage, Immunity, and Slow	We use this monster because of Slow abilities, this ability will decrease all enemy speed by -1. The other ability Reflection Shield will disable the effect of the blast in case the enemy bring a monster with Blast damage (all monster adjacent to the monster who got attacked will get some damage) Venator Kinjo will not hurt. Immunity ability make this monster immune to all negative status like Poison, Stun, Poison, Blind, Affliction, etc. Camouflage ability makes this monster can only be attacked if it the first position,
	Merdaali Guardian, 4th position, Support, has the ability Tank Heal, and **Repair.	We use this monster to Heal our monster in the first position and restore Twilight Basilisk armor. Put in this position as the last tanker to protect our range monster from front attack, because range monster can't attack if it moves to the first position.
	Merdhampir, 5th position, attacker. Has the ability Life leech, and Cripple.	Placed in 5th in case the enemy brings a monster with Sneak ability (attack monster in the last position) this monster can be safe from the attack temporarily while increasing the HP with Life Leech ability (every time it attack and decrease the enemy HP it will add this HP monster according to the damage dealt. Cripple ability, can decrease the maks HP by 1 every attack.
	Kulu Swimhunter 6th position, attacker. Has no ability.	We put this monster in the last position because it has high speed I hope if the enemy brings a monster with Sneak ability can evade several attacks before dies. Have 3 damage, 3 damage is great in Little League ruleset.

The Battle

• Round 1:
  You can see in this round our speed is higher than the enemy because of the buff from our monster and summoner, many of our monster attack first and immediately kill the enemy Xenith Monk. Our Pelacor Bandit evading the attack from Ajax Lightfood, and got 1 damage from Doctor Blight attack.

• Round 2 :
  In this round Ajax lightfood attack can't hit our Pelacor Bandit again. The enemy Pelacor Bandit after hit by many our monster die killed by our Naga Assassin
  
• Round 3 :
  Doctor Blight attacking by our Pelacor Bandit, Kulu Swimhunter and killed by our Merdhampir. The enemy Ajax lightfood once again can't hit our Pelacor Bandit. The enemy Venari Crystalsmith move to the first position and can't attack anymore because it's range type monster.
  
• Round 4 :
  The enemy Venari Crystalsmith die hit by our Kulu Swimphunter, and the enemy Ajax Lighfoot move to the first position and can't attack anymore. Look like the victory will become our.
  
• Round 5-6 :
  In this round the enemy can't do anything The Ajax lightfood killed by our Pelacor Bandit and the enemy Crystal Jaguar attack can be evaded by our Pelacor Bandit. At the round 6 Crystal Jaguar Killed by our Pelacor Bandit and the victory become ours.

Did your Strategy Work?

The strategy for speed is working we attack first and we rarely miss when attacked because we slow the enemy speed by -2 (summoner Quix and Venator Kinjo). But in this battle we got lucky Doctor Blight did not inflict Affliction (make monster can't heal) or Poison (decrease the HP by -2 each round) ability to our Pelacor Bandit. Although the chance for it is quite high by 50%., Doctor Blight attacked twice in rounds 1 and 2, but no Affliction or Poison status was inflicted. Other enemy range monster can't hit our Pelacor Bandit either, although it's part of our strategy to use high speed the chance to hit our Pelacor Bandit still exist Venary Crystalsmith has a chance to hit by 45% and an Ajax Ligthfood have 55% chance to hit our Pelacor Bandit (the 1-speed difference is 10% and Pelacor Bandit have Flying ability which increases the chance by 25%). If the enemy can kill our Pelacor Bandit we may have trouble because other monster is slower and easy to hit. (This picture below damage and speed is before the buff and debuff)

The enemy thought we would use a monster with Sneak ability so they put Crystal Jaguar behind, which decreased their attack because Crystal Jaguar can't attack from behind he just stand there until it moves to the first position.

The enemy summoner Lorna Shine is difficult to deal with because it makes all enemy monsters immune the first time they attack.

Sometimes it's hard to predict a battle in Little League 1 miss or can't inflict a negative status (Poison or Affliction ability) like in this battle can change the result of the battle. As in other games and also in real life, luck is always needed as well as skill.
