Ruleset

  • Equal Opportunity, all monsters have Opportunity Ability.
    • Opportunity Ability, The monster will attack the enemy monster with the lowest HP.
  • Healed Out, all Healing ability is disabled.
  • Weak Magic, monster with magic attack will hit armor first before can hit the HP, same like range or melee attack.
  • mana cap.
  • can use Death and Dragonelement.

My Lineup and strategy

  • With Ruleset Weak Magic and Opportunity we choose to use Death Element because the summoner can give Dodge ability to all of our monsters, and have Resurrect ability this is crucial to our strategy in this battle. We just hope that the enemy does not bring any magic monsters with Poison ability, if range monster we have a chance to dodge it.

This is my lineup (every monster can be an attacker and tanker because of the ruleset Equal Opportunity, but I will try to classify this monster's most important role. :

Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
Astral Entity, Summoner. Can decrease the enemy armor by -2, Give Dodge the ability to ally monsters, and have Resurrect ability. We used this Death summoner because can give Dodge (increase chance to evade the enemy melee and range attack by 25%) and Resurrect ability (bring back friendly monsters who die with 1 armor and full armor if have it. The decrease in the enemy armor will make the enemy easier to kill.
Ever-Hungry Skull, 1st position, attacker and tanker. Has the ability Flying, Thorns, and Return Fire.Flying ability is the same as the Dodge ability with these 2 buff this monster already have a chance to evade the enemy melee and ranged attack by 50%. Thorn and Return Fire ability will give damage back to the enemy who attack this monster with melee or range attack. The speed is not bad but not good either with the ability of this monster and the summoner we hope that this monster can evade many attacks. With an HP only 1, all enemy monsters will attack this monster. The weakness of this monster is poison, if hit by poison effect for surely die in the next round. I will call this monster next time a Skull for easier writing and reading.
Chaos Agent, 2nd Position, Tanker, Has ability Dodge, Phase, and Backfire.Phase ability make this monster can evade the magic attack, with this ability this monster can evade all melee, range, and magic attack. Placed in 2nd position in case our Ever-Hungry Skull die. Having the same speed as our Skull, we depend on the Dodge ability, which increases the chance of avoiding enemy attacks by 25%, this monster already has the Dodge ability so the buff Dodge ability from the summoner does not give any advantage. The ability Backfire makes every attack that is successfully avoided by this monster reflect the enemy and deals 2 damage. This monster can't attack.
Cursed Windeku, 3rd position, Attacker. Has the ability Thorns, Heal, and Slow.Has good damage, great HP, and has Thorns (every time the enemy melee monster attacks this monster will receive 2 damage), because of the high damage we want to protect this monster so we place it here, at least can save from the attack from front and rear for a while. The Slow ability is a support ability that is useful to decrease all enemy speed monsters by -1, it will help our Skull to evade the enemy attack. Heal ability is useless in this battle.
Venari Bonesmith, 4th position, attacker. Has abilities Life Leech, Poison, and DispelPut this in the 4th position because I think the enemy has a higher chance to focus on attacking our monster in the first position so this position is safer. This monster is easy to die but has a Life Leech ability, every time this monster attacks the enemy monster, the HP will increase in proportion to the damage dealt, so the longer this monster lives and attacks the enemy it will be harder to kill. Every time this monster attacks has a 50% chance to inflict the poison status, if the enemy gets poisoned every round the HP will decrease by 2. If this monster attacks the enemy the Dispel ability will delete all positive buff from the enemy (Swiftness, Bloodlust, Protect, etc).
Corpse Fiend, 5th position, Tanker. Has Silence abilityBecause we already used up all of our mana, we used this monster with 0 mana cost. This monster has the support ability Silence which can decrease the enemy magic attack by 1. Put this monster in the 5th position as a tanker, in case the enemy brings the monster with the sneak and opportunity ability, but because of the Equal Opportunity ruleset, this monster can attack from this position although only giving low damage of 1.
Carrion Shade, 6th position, Attacker and tanker, has Void abilityAs a tanker against the enemy monster who has Sneak ability (attacking monster in the last position, if they bring it) it has 1 mana cost and for 1 mana cost have good 2 damage. Same as our Skull monster this monster has good evading ability because has a Flying ability and the same speed as our Skull.

The Battle

  • Round 1 :
After buff and debuff, we can see all enemy monsters attacking our Skull except Uraeus who attacks our Carrion Shade (next time we will call this monster Carrion) Uraeus's Sneak ability has more priority than Opportunity so this monster still use the Sneak ability and ignore Opportunity ability. You can see in the table below for more clear explanation :

Fortunately, the enemy does not bring any monster who has Poisonability and can attack our Skull at the start of the round. The enemy Uraeus attacking our Carrion but the attack can be evaded. The enemy brings Dumacke Orc in the front this monster has Thorns and has low HP like our Skull, but is stronger because it has Shield ability which decreases the melee and ranged attack by 50%. After receiving many attacks from the enemy and hurting many enemies with Thorns (every enemy who attacks this monster is hurt by Thorns except Venator Kinjo who is immune to the effect of Thorns due to Reflected Shield ability) our Skull die attacked by the enemy monster Wily Coyotian. But resurrected again by our summoner with 1 HP and full armor. Our Carrion attacked the enemy Corpse Fiend and kill it. Our Corps Fiend attacking the enemy Dumacke Orc gives no damage due to the Shield ability from Dumacke Orc, and dies because of the Thorns effect.

  • Round 2 :
The Dumacke Orc got poisoned by our Bonesmith and killed by our Skull. After the death of Dumacke Orc our monster who is not in the first position starts attacking the enemy Skull. Our Carrion attacked the Skull and killed it because of the Thorns effect. Next is our Windeku got Thorns damage and decreased the HP by 3.

  • Round 3 :
Our Dodge ability from our summoner make the attacks from the enemy monster Uraeus to our Bonesmith can be evaded. With only 2 HP left the enemy Skull was killed by our Bonesmith. The enemy Venator Kinjo and Wily Coyotian can't hit our Skull due to their high evade ability. Attacked by our Windeku the enemy Venator Kinjo died. In this round we can see how good is Dodge ability event the monster who has a lower speed can evade the attack from a higher speed, you can see that when the enemy Uraeus attacks our Bonesmith :

Round 4-5 :
With only 2 monsters the enemy can't do anything hit by our Bonesmith the Uraeus got poisoned and the Wily Coyotian was killed by our Windeku, at the end of the round only left with 3 HP and at the start of round 5 the HP decrease by -2 due to poison effect and die killed by our Bonesmith, with the last enemy monster die the victory become ours.

Did your Strategy Work?

Yes, the strategy worked well because the enemy did not bring monsters that had poison that could attack the monsters in the first position. We brought Bonesmith to anticipate that if the enemy also uses the same strategy as us, this monster is not effective enough in this battle because the poison effect appears after Dumacke Orc dies as well as when Bonesmith starts attacking the enemy monster Skull. But that's how RNG (Random Number Generator) is not always on our side. Sometimes we love it when RNG is on our side and hate it when it causes us to lose 😀. I think here the RNG could be said to be on our side because the enemy Uraeus's attack could have been avoided by our monster Carrion if not it was Carrion who was revived, likewise our Skull died and got resurrected just before our monster Corpse Fiend attacked the enemy monster Skull and died from the Thorns effect.
With the Resurrect from our summoner, it makes it seem like we are carrying 2 Skull monsters because they are revived with the same stats as before they died and the enemy can only repeat the attack until the monster dies. This causes great damage to the enemy because of the effects of the Thorns and also because many missed attacks caused their tanker in the first place Dumacke Orc, even though it was stronger die first, and also the debuff which reduces armor is very useful in this battle because it makes the enemy monsters weaker.

Is There Any Alternative Strategy?

We can maximize the Thorns effect like the enemy strategy by bringing the Venator Kinjo so the Thorns effect instead of giving 2 damage now gives 3 damage. But if we used Venator Kinjo then we can't bring Carrion or Chaos Agent cause not enough mana, for our strategy to succeed we must make sure that the summoner resurrected our monster Skull, so we must change the position of the monster, and I think it safer if we do not bring Corpse Fiend in case it dies first when attacking the enemy with Thorns effect. This is what I think is another strategy we can use, the problem is only the enemy Uraeus, if it hits the Windeku and inflicts the Poison effect we may have trouble :

This Strategy makes our monster speed better than the strategy before cause Venator Kinjo with Slow ability can make all the enemy monster speeds decrease by -1.
