Moon Karts offers several exciting ways for players to earn COLONY tokens through skillful racing and community engagement. Here's how you can start earning:

1. In-Race COLONY Collection

During a race, players can pick up COLONY tokens directly from the track. To earn these tokens:

• You must win the race and
• Finish with the tokens still in your inventory

If you lose the race or drop the tokens before finishing, you won't earn them.

2. Skill-Based ELO Rankings

By participating in races, you'll accumulate a skill-based ELO rating. This ranking determines your position on both:

• Daily leaderboards
• Seasonal leaderboards

Top performers are rewarded with COLONY tokens based on their rank. This system is designed to reward the best and most consistent racers in the game.

3. Earning Orbitals

Orbitals are collectible items on the track that provide another path to earning COLONY. To earn Orbitals:

• Collect Orbitals during the race
• Win the race and finish with them

Orbitals contribute to a separate leaderboard system (daily and seasonal), with COLONY rewards distributed based on your leaderboard position.

Your Orbital earnings are boosted based on the quality of your race setup—this includes your kart, driver, and parts. The better your gear, the more Orbitals you can earn. This system rewards players who invest in high-performance setups.

Alternative Earning Method: Referral Program

Moon Karts also rewards players who help grow the community.

How It Works

In the Settings menu, each player gets a unique referral link. Share this with friends, social media followers, or your content audience. When someone:

1. Uses your link to sign up
2. Spends $20 or more in the store

You earn 1 Referral Point.

For every additional $20 they spend (with real currency or non-Colony tokens), you earn another point.

Referral Pool Distribution

The Referral Pool consists of 5% of the daily token rewards and is shared proportionally among all referrers based on points earned that day.

Example:
If Alice has 1 point and Bob has 2 points on a given day, Alice earns 1/3 of the Referral Pool, and Bob earns 2/3.

Referral Rules & Limits

• Only purchases made with fiat currency or non-Colony tokens count toward Referral Points
• Purchases made with COLONY or SCRIPT do not qualify
• You can earn a maximum of 0.5% of the total Rewards Pool, or 10% of the Referral Pool per day

Any unclaimed tokens in the Referral Pool roll over to the next day, increasing the incentive to refer new players over time.
