splinterlands.com lore

Shadow Snitches are created by the conjurers of the Chaos Legion. Weaving Death magic, they breathe life into beings made completely of darkness. The purpose of the Shadow Snitches is to be deployed into lands prior to the Chaos Legion's invasion. Moving from shadow to shadow, they are listeners and watchers, feeding information back to the Chaos Legion.

But once the invasion is complete, the Shadow Snitches still serve a purpose. They can locate and follow high-value targets, reporting back on movements to Chaos Legion leadership. If needed, Shadow Snitches can also capture prisoners and bring them back for interrogation.

The Lineup

Summoner

Needing a death summoner Thaddius Brood was a good choice. Giving the opposing team -1 Magic and -1 Health makes him a great summoner in case the other team uses magic and gives my monsters a chance by removing some of the opponents health.

Front Row

Another form of protection for my monsters was the Bone Golem as the front row tank. 3 Attack, 1 Speed, 2 Shield, 6 Health and the Void ability, the monster can take some damage and ignore any magic attacks.

Second

The star of the Battle Challenge the Shadow Snitch. With the Reach ability the Shadow Snitch makes a great monster for the second spot. And with 1 Damage, 2 Speed and 6 Health he can definitely hold his own.

Third

With a 99 Mana battle and Super Sneak I really wanted to choose higher mana cards with melee attack. So to start that off I started with Harklaw in the third spot a legendary with great stats. 2 Attack, 2 Speed, 3 Shield, 9 Health and the Shield ability.

Fourth

Keeping with the theme of high mana melee monsters we have Nightmare. He has 1 Attack, 4 Speed, 10 Health and the Blast ability. Nightmare was able to hit two monsters when he attacked and was a great asset.

Fifth

2 Attack, 7 Health and a mix of 4 Speed and Flying, Phantasm was hard to hit and threw out some damage.

Sixth

And finally at 2 Attack, 3 Speed, 9 Health and the Thorns ability the Cursed Windeku made a great monster to have in the back. Any time the opponent hit him they took damage right back.

Battle Breakdown

After exchanging a few hits my team was able to take out Kelya's Kulu Swimhunter in the sixth spot. Shortly after the Deeplurker in Kelya's fifth spot was taken out. Sadly right after my Bone Golem left the team too early. Kelya's Narissa Tridawn was the next to leave the battle leaving Kelya with only three monsters left. Instantly after that the Cursed Windeku and his thorns was removed. A couple hits later and the star of the challenge, the Shadow Snitch was terminated. In the next round the flying squid became calamari. And in the next round Djinn Oshannus met his end leaving only one monster for Kelya. The battle came to its conclusion after the Deimonshark met his end. A great battle with a conclusion in my favor. I feel I will be using the Shadow Snitch in many battles in the future.
