Modern EPIC Monsters You Need! - Part 1

In this post I want to spend a short time talking about the "FIRE" deck and "Modern" must own monsters, specifically "EPIC".

This will form part of a 7 part mini series where I delve into what I believe is the best "EPIC" "Modern" mosters to own, looking at both "Utility" "Synergy" and "Cost".

Lava Launcher

Right off the bat possibly the card id advise investing in the most! "Lava Launcher" Its an amazing card mainly due to its all round versatility, a great amount "Protection" with both decent HP and decent Armour but also on the flip side its "Attacking" prowess, x3 Range attack moving upto x5 at MAX level.
Not only can it take a hit and dish out the damage but it can also be a carry card, With its "Close Range" ability means you could technically play this card in the 1st position and it will still be able to attack!
Overall Score 8/10.

Whilst "Tarsa" or "Pyre" doesn’t particularly improve the synergy of this card they do help! "Tarsa" with +1 HP and "Pyre" with its +1 Speed. That being said we are yet to find out what the 6 Legendary Airdrop cards will bring so it could bring a +1 Range or something like "Blast" im just speculating but in current format the synergy with the "Summoners" isn’t the best.
Overall Score 4/10.

Currently the cost is at $0.56 per BCX / 158 DEC - MAX Copy $26 / 7,268 DEC, So in costing terms its a cheap card for its in game stats, especially when you see below what the costing has been $3 per BCX at a point, we also need to remember this card is still in print at 26% so prices will inflate once its sells out which I estimated in one of other blogs to be around SEPT-2022.

It was just let down by its "Synergy" but as speculated we don’t know what the future holds so if you like the "Utility" and "Cost" then pick it up NOW!!

Forgotten One

I do love this card, "Forgotten One" Its an amazing card just like "Lava Launcher" its an all round versatile card, a great amount "Protection" with both decent HP and decent Armour but also on the flip side its "Attacking" prowess, x4 Melee attack moving upto x6 at MAX level.
Its a great card especially to avoid negative status effects like "Poison" with the "Immunity" ability.
Overall Score 8/10.

"Tarsa" in particular improves the synergy of this card! "Tarsa" with +1 HP and x1 Melee bumping the card to a base level to x5 Melee and +9 HP very nice! Making it a solid Tank! Especially as you level up and get "Retaliate" & "Piercing".
Overall Score 8/10.

Currently the cost is at $2.36 per BCX / 655 DEC - MAX Copy $109 / 30K DEC, So in costing terms its not a cheap card but again its not overly out of reach! Yes "Lava Launcher" is alot more cost effective but even if you can get a level 5 for $75 / 21K DEC you will still get all the abilities at a fraction of the cost and for its in game stats compared to the price it was..You are getting a bargain in this market!
Overall Score 7/10.

Its one card im sure to be picking up a few copies of and with that score its not hard to see why! Its just an impressive card, Yes there’s Legendary cards like "Grum" that is also an amazing "Tank" but for the cost saving here its "Forgotten One" for me!

Djinn Inferni

Another card I do love, "Djinn Inferni" Its a great card, but it does require some protection. Magic x3 but only +4 HP. The MAX level give its Magic x5 But HP remains the same! Like I say the only thing letting this card down is its exposure and survivability! If you keep it alive with a "Protect" ability or some "Triage" then you have yourself a useful card. This is one of them cards which could profit from a Legendary summoner with some buffs e.g Magic or Protection of some sort.
Overall Score 6/10.

There really isn’t an "Synergy" between this card and any of the summoners at current time, it would only be speculation to rattle off a wish list that could benefit this card but at current the best we get is +1 HP from "Tarsa" which helps but would quickly be swallowed up!
Overall Score 2/10.

Currently the cost is at $1.25 per BCX / 348 DEC - MAX Copy $56 / 16K DEC, So in costing terms Its an affordable card but relating it back to "Synergy" Is your money best spent elsewhere, Id have to say...Yes! Unless you a gambling man then your hoping the NEW Summoner will pump magic and then you will see this card shoot up in price!
Overall Score 5/10.

Its one card id love to be bullish on, as any of you will know I do love me some magic...but its just not one I’m picking up a ton of, not right now! I would much rather spread my odds and invest in current meta. That being said I wouldn’t discourage anyone from buying this!

Overall:

My advice based on all the information ahead of me would be to invest in "Forgotten One" followed closely by "Lava Launcher" they both offer alot for their price, Whilst they both have slight drawbacks I would much rather load up on a sure thing than gamble with a uncertainty.
