Splinterlands - Carnage Titan Breakdown!
"Let There Be Carnage"...Indeed!!
Last Town Hall gave us the next glimpse at the latest airdrop card due to hit down anytime soon "Carnage Titan"! When I say anytime soon lets first take a look at the current states of affairs with the airdrop!
Chaos Legion Airdrop:
So we are 446k away from this card being released, remember to guarantee yourself one of these you need to have brought 525 "Chaos Legion" packs. Whilst things have been slow in recent weeks I personally believe this will begin to speed up gradually now leading up to the release...People don’t want to miss out!
Deep dive into "Carnage Titan"
I love this card as I can see how powerful this card will be! x4 attack, doubled with the ability "Doubled Strike" meaning x8 attack every turn! Yes the speed could be better but x3 is still decent, if it was x4 you wouldn’t even question it. Pair that with an amazing defensive x8 HP, x7 Armour and on top of that "Shield" so not only are you doubling your output but your halving the attacks coming back! This is why I rate this card an 8/10 it only falls short because of its weakness to magic attacks and being open to extra damage from the "Giant Killer" ability due to being above 10 mana!
How I would Play "Carnage Titan"
I would pick "Drake" as my Summoner get that +1 Armour for all,
"Grund" as my "Tank" with his "Double Strike"
"Carnage" up next with his "Double Strike" brought into play thanks to "Reach"
"Goblin Psychic" with its heal to heal "Grund" who would be the only one at this point taking damage from their "Tank".
"Spirit Hoarder" Next using its "Triage" to heal our backline.
Finally "Slipspawn" with its "Taunt" to draw all attacks, but thanks to "Spirit Hoarder" and "Triage" "Slipspawn" will be getting healed.
A all out attacking, defensive, healing setup! At a cost of 43 Mana!
In Conclusion:
This card is a card id recommend anyone to pick up from top tier to just starting out it offers great attacking and synergy with other cards especially "Grund" who I believe will see a price hike once people also see the synergy. Yes its a high mana card but with high mana battles set to be more frequent going forward - Confirmed by Matt in a previous Town Hall, This wont be a problem much longer!
