My Splinterlands Social Media Challenge! The mighty Oaken Behemoth

Hello guys, this is my entry to the "Splinterlands Social Media Challenge!". If you want to participate and/or read more about the challenge, click here.
We are at the start of another season and like every other season first few days are tough when everyone trying to get back to their previous ratings. I have played Modern almost exclusively due to the recent removal of bots, it feels good to play with real players and I don't feel as bad getting defeated by them...lol. But I would say that it makes a little challenging and you might have to wait a little longer!
Anyways, This week I will talk about another interesting unit that I use a lot in my battles but I haven't talked about it much in my blogs. I will share an interesting battle I used the legendary Oaken Behemoth. It costs 12 mana, but it justifies this huge mana cost.
I will show you how let's look at its stats in detail.

Oaken Behemoth
Oaken Behemoth is a powerful legendary unit from the Earth element. It costs a whooping 12 mana but justifies this relatively big cost with its multi-attacks. Dealing both magic and melee attacks in the same round. Also, it has a huge amount of health and attacking strength. Its 'Void Armor' ability combined with massive health makes it a good defender and can be used as a secondary tank. It works best in the second position as it has the 'reach' ability.
I had a level 1 unit which dealt 2 magic and 3 melee attack damages with good speed. Its health is a strong suit too and came with a 9hp. If it had some more armor it would have been a perfect defender. It is quite effective against magic attackers because of its 'void Armor' ability.
Let's see how I utilised it in one of my battles. Any guesses?

My Lineup
This is my lineup for the battle
It was just a 40-mana cap battle and had the 'Aimless' ruleset that grants the 'scattershot' ability to all the units on the battlefield.
Only 'Earth', 'Life' and 'Dragon' elements were active during this battle. I had 40 mana to work with so I could afford to use some expensive units and spend more. I went with the Earth element and used Obsidian as my summoner which increased the magic attack of all my mages by 1.

I used the Unicorn Mustang as my tank. I was expecting the use of mages from my opponent and I went with this tank as it has the 'void' ability that reduces magic damage. It also deals a good amount of melee damage and has a lot of health which makes it a great candidate for a tank.
I used the Oaken Behemoth in the next position as a secondary tank. It was an easy decision looking at the amount of health and attacking strength it comes with, it is one of the best-attacking units on Earth element dealing both magic and melee attack damage and its 'reach' ability allows it to use both attacks even from the second position. Its 'Void Armor' ability is very effective against mages which I was expecting my opponent to use as well.
Regal Peryton was a nice unit for my next position as it added to the attacking strength of my lineup with its magic damage and great speed. It comes with a 'flying' ability which makes it harder to hit too.
Goblin Psychic was an important unit in my lineup. It was responsible for healing the tank as it comes with the 'tank heal' ability. Having two strong tanks with healing abilities is a nice strategy. It dealt 2 magic damage as well which was a huge bonus.
Next in my lineup was Queen Mycelia who was responsible to give extra armour to all the friendly units as it comes with a super useful 'protect' ability. It only costs 4 mana so I could easily afford it in my lineup.
In the last position, I used the Chaos Agent. This only cost 1 mana and I used it in my last position just to give extra protection to the end of the lineup and shield my Mycelia from getting attacked.
Now that my lineup was set, it was time for battle.

I will share my battle here, which I have uploaded to YouTube.

My Strategy
Since this was a 40 mana battle with an unrestrictive ruleset like 'Aimless', I could build a strong attacking lineup.
The first two units in my lineup were the glue that held the position for much longer. I banked on Unicorn Mustang and the mighty Oaken Behemoth for the heavy lifting during this battle.
Both of these units have to be protected by giving extra armour so I used the Queen Mycelia for that purpose. Also, the 'tank heal' ability from Goblin Psychic made them last much longer which is a good strategy.
This strategy, as you will see, worked in my favour and gave me an easy win in the end.

My opponent used the Dryborne Barbarian which is a strong attacking tank and was supported by 'tank heal' ability from Venari Crystalsmith. But they didn't go for a heavy magic attack and I had enough armor to defend against their melee and ranged attackers.
During the second round, their healer got eliminated which made it difficult for their tank to sustain for long.
The scattershot abilities added a lot of randomness to the battle but I had better armoured up and once Oaken Behemoth strikes it packs a lot of punch and takes down units easily. It helped that my healer was still standing while my opponent got eliminated early.
Oaken Behemoth remained standing until the end of the battle and it was an easy win at the end with 4 units still standing on the battlefield.

Conclusion
As you just saw in the above battle, Oaken Behemoth can be very effective in your lineup. In the above battle, it survived the continuous enemy attacks throughout the battle. Of course, the healing was a crucial part of the strategy.
It is a powerful attacker dealing with multiple attacks and is best placed in the second position as a secondary tank after a dedicated tank in the front. It adds a lot of attacking potential to the lineup. It deserves to be called legendary and justifies its huge cost of 12 mana through its impressive stats.
I recommend this unit and have been using it in my battles for a long time. Let me know if you use any other strategies and what are your views about this unit.
