Naga Assassin is a low-cost dragon monster that deals with quick "ranged" attacks but has a low health of just 2 hp. However, with only 2 health it compensates with its speed of 5. A great asset for lower mana battles.

My Lineup

This is my lineup for the battle

I used Drake of Arnak as my summoner which gave all my monsters an extra shield. It was a 24 mana battle and was a standard battle with no modifications to the ruleset.

In the first position, I placed the Crypt Beetle as a very low tank to save up for more firepower in my lineup. It was only 3 mana but had its shield. I never expected much from my tank and was just to absorb some initial hits.

In the second position, I put Riftwing. It is a special unit which doesn't have any attack but with its scavenger ability gains 1 hp each time a monster dies on the battlefield. This was my proper tank in the lineup and it worked well. It also comes with flying ability making it harder to hit.

In the next position came the Shadow Snitch, a melee attack type monster with good health (5hp) and has the ability named reach that allows it to attack even from the second position in the lineup. I knew it would spend most of its time in the second position, hence, I placed it here.

In the fourth position, came the Naga Assassin. Although it has no abilities at level 1, it has good speed (5) and deals with ranged attacks.

I placed the Undead Badger in the fifth position which had only 1 health point but has an interesting ability named sneak that allows it to attack from the last position in the enemy lineup and can act as a surprise element in the lineup.

Last but not least came the Silent Sha-vi. One of my favourite cards from the game. It has overall good stats be it damage, speed or health. It is a very balanced card.

My Strategy

As it was high mana costing battle, I could afford to use the Riftwing which with the help of its scavenger Ability can increase its health with every monster eliminated from the lineup. It served the purpose of a good tank and provided enough time for my other monsters to defeat the enemy lineup.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Yes, my strategy worked perfectly. Riftwing proved to be a great tank while other units like the Undead Badger and Silent Sha-vi were dealing a good amount of damage to the opponent's units. I could have changed the place of Naga Assassin to maybe second last in the lineup in case my tank doesn't work as expected.

Do you like the NAGA ASSASSIN? Why or why not?

Yes, I like this unit mainly because of its low cost and speed. I could see it being used in so many battle compositions and still doing its job perfectly. It is a great asset for lower mana costing battles.
