Greetings

Have a very good day my friends of Hive, in this opportunity I offer you again a publication related to the great game Splinterlands and then make the Weekly Challenge that corresponds to this week. I hope you have had a good start of the week where the things you have proposed will be fulfilled little by little, remember that we are starting and giving green light to a new month full of many opportunities and challenges that we will finish achieving with a lot of effort. Having said that, I hope you enjoy my new publication.

Prepared for

For this battle I had two initial conditions:

  1. Standard: rules unchanged.
  2. Mana: 19 points of mana available to spend.

We can see that 19 points of mana can be considered as something low, however you can do wonders with this amount of mana if you know how to choose correctly the monsters, perhaps a monster of great value containing good stats and combine it with support monsters containing attrition and protection skills, the combinations are limited but effective when it comes to play.

Strategy

For this battle I noticed that my opponent in his last games had a combination of melee and ranged attack but with a peculiarity and that is that there were some monsters that were focused on reducing the magic attack. Knowing this I could put together my strategy in which I chose only monsters with physical attacks (melee), along with a summoner that provides armor and speed to attack as fast as possible and generate casualties in the first attacks.

Development of the battle

Link Battle

Although the battle took place in only 3 attack rounds, I must admit that it was very even at the beginning of the first attacks, but as time went by and as the game progressed the differences became clearer. The rival summoner with a statistic that did not favor his monsters, the first rival monster with an ability that did not allow him to take advantage of his enemies, among other things, did not allow him to extend the battle any longer. It was not his best game or he did not know how to study my previous battles, there is also the possibility that I was able to put together a strategy that my opponent could not decipher.

Card and strategy information:

Kelya Frendul is the one who controls all his monsters in the battlefield, this great summoner is one of the most used in the Water Splinter because of the stats he can give to his minions, this increase is given in 2 parts: he is able to increase the speed of the monsters in 1 point and he is also able to increase in 1 point the armor of these monsters which turns them into monsters a little faster than normal and with a high resistance in the battlefield, which is amazing for those confrontations of long duration.

Serpent of Eld is who is at the front of the formation representing Kelya Frendul and all the Water Splinter, this monster is very versatile for every situation that may arise on the battlefield, is a card that I've been using a lot in recent days (every time I have an opportunity to use the Water Splinter), and the truth is that its performance is spectacular. The stats of this card are: 5 points of life, 2 points of armor, 3 points of basic melee attack and 4 points of speed, it is undoubtedly one of the best cards that the Water Splinter can have. It has an ability that increases the chances of evading physical attacks which are: melee attack and ranged attack.

Feasting Seaweed is one of the cards that I have rarely used in the games I have played with the Water Splinter. Based on the development of the battle I can say that it had moments where its performance was the best, it helped to knock down the enemy cards and to wear down the life points due to its incredible ability that allows it to attack from any position to its enemies, taking into account in the first instance the opponent card with the least amount of life points. Let's review the stats of this sea plant: 2 health points, 2 melee attack points and 1 speed point.

Pelacor Bandit is in the third and penultimate position of the attack, I have used this monster on several occasions and it has not let me down, it has in its power two powerful abilities that make it a very good card and considerable to take it to the battles. One of his abilities allows him to attack the opponent monster that is in the last position instead of attacking the one in the first position, the second position is to increase the chances of evading melee attacks and ranged attacks of those enemies who do not have this same ability. The statistics of this card are: 2 points of life, 1 point of melee attack and 3 points of speed.

Hardy Stonefish is the one who closes my attack, it is in the last position with a certain probability of being destroyed in the first round of attack (if my rival team has the Sneak or Opportunity ability), this card does not have an ability that stands out like the others on the battlefield, however, it is one of the monsters that has all the stats: 1 point of life, 1 point of armor, 1 point of melee attack and 1 point of speed so it can be combined with a summoner that increases its armor or life to become more resistant.

Synthesis

By reviewing the replay of the battle a few times I could notice that although my opponent had good cards in his favor with abilities like Sneak and Opportunity just like me, you could notice the difference in the speed points that my cards had and in the armor, which allowed me to attack first and resist the attacks for one more round, because of this I managed to get ahead in the game and get the victory. It should be noted that although the first rival monster is one of the most powerful cards, it did not make sense to take it because of its ability to reduce the enemy magic attack, I guess my opponent was sure that he would arm me with a monster with this type of attack.

Farewell

So much for my analysis of the battle, I hope you enjoyed it. In a few days I will be writing a new post about the Weekly Challenge that Splinterlands offers us. I will be a bit busy to write my posts because this week I started again at the university but I will do my best to bring you within the time limit as much content as possible to the members of this Hive community. See you very soon, a big hug.

Attached is my link for you to register.

I attach my Twitter post.
