Hello battlemages, summoners, spectators, and monsters of course! As you know, this week's featured monster is the Giant Roc! Ah, this one brings back memories. I used to reply heavily on this card since, before Untamed came out, it was my best fire monster with reach ability. Plus the flying ability made him slightly more dodge-y and safe during earthquakes, which I remember being a lot more dangerous back then! Anyways, it's a great monster so let's see how it puts up in a fight!

At first I was concerned when I saw that my opponent used the same tank plus a Scavo Hireling. However, one of my opportunists took him out straight away. That's why I picked them because this battle uses the Reversed Speed ruleset. That's also why the Roc for into this deck because it has relatively low speed at 2. I try not to go above speed of 2 in reverse speed. After that they tend to miss more often.

The furious chicken served it's purpose in the back until the sneak attacker was dealt with. The Roc even managed to personally finish off a few monsters. Speed is crucial to gameplay! It should never be ignored. My opponent either ignored it or could have have done with some better monster placement for better survival. What do you think?

I think the Giant Roc is a solid reach monster for a beginner deck if left unleveled. Being one of my alpha cards, I can't really just go and level it up now can I? Haha!

Remember, birds have impeccable sight. It's no use running or hiding.
