You Have Awoken The Dragon!

Well, well, well. Here we are again. How are you, fellow summoners? As you may know, this week the battle challenge theme is DRAGONS!

The ruleset is Aim True and Earthquake. Earthquake is always a good reason to pick the dragon splinter because the vast majority of them have the flying ability, so they do not receive damage at the end of each round. However, I do not intend to use any dragon monsters, just a dragon summoner. But which one?

I almost picked Brighton Bloom because she gives the flying ability to all friendly monsters, however she's only level 1 so I wouldn't be able to use my favorite ability: Healing. So I went with my favorite dragon summoner instead, Daria Dragonscale.

Battle Strategy

The Nectar Queen makes for a good flying tank. I usually pair her with the Flesh Golem in the second position (since I don't have strong Earth monsters with reach). Although the golem cannot attack from here in this battle, it will heal any damage from the earthquakes and then be ready when the tank falls.

One of my other favorite abilities, and one that I try to include in every battle, is Opportunity. The Screeching Vulture is a good example of a flying monster with this ability. However, it loses 1 point of attack when used with Daria compared to with Lyanna Natura due to the lower level of the summoner. But Daria's attack buff counters this.

I always try to include a healer and, when space permits, the Furious Chicken 🐔. The healer actually drew sniper fire away from the tank for a bit. In hindsight, I should have put the chicken in front of my healer. That would have made it so the vulture would have survived longer.

I usually do not emerge victorious when pitted against a legendary summoner, especial Yodin Zaku. But what saved me was having the Flesh Golem in the second position, without a doubt. What also helped me was the low max health of my opponent's monsters.

I would say I like dragons. Though they are not my go-to (you might know my go-to) they are useful and powerful. I prefer to use them in high mana cap battles in order to make use of higher cost tank monsters with strong physical attack.

Now it's time to get back to the game and climb to gold leagues! See you on the battlegrounds!
