Battle Mage Secrets - Unprotected

It's another weekly battle challenge for Splinterlands splinterbuds and here i am again sharing my UNPROTECTED experience!

Unprotected

All armor is removed from units and one cannot gain armor.
Shield and Divine Shield are unaffected.

• The Rule implies, as i understand it, avoiding anything that have to do with Armor. So you should forget about buffing the armor and using armor repair skill for it will just a waste for your team. It'll just give you a handicap at most. But of course there are circumstances that cannot be avoided so i am just saying that as much as possible, avoid giving your opponent a helping hand.

• Let us see a battle example for this rule:

The ruleset is:

Unprotected with 99 Mana Capacity. And I am choosing Water Splinter in this fight. Water splinter is one of my favorite teams for melee attacks. Since it is Unprotected ruleset, dealing melee damage is my best option playing this battle.

• Choosing Water Splinter with Possibilus the Wise as the summoner would be the fit for this battle. Adding Reach, +2 to life and trample would be the best summoner boost as i believed in Unprotected Ruleset. Looking the Mana requirements of the battle, you could put all your big guns in this fight. The position of my tank was given to Diemonshark for it has a sizeable life. Coastal Sentry with its innate Double Strike skill boosting it with Reach ability and the chance to Trample will be my deadly offensive for the team. DeepLurker with its Opportunity ability can cause havoc on the enemy's line up. Djinn Oshannus was added because of its Magic damage and the speed that can get you the first strike. River Hellondale for the Resurrect ability which can cost your opponent to waste a single attack. It's damage also is good for the bronze battle. And finally Swamp Spitter. You might be wondering why this guy is here. Well, its one of my big guns from my card collection so don't misunderstand. Forget its Armor Repair skill, It got a descent amount of Range damage and fair speed with a nice life so i am placing it on my team.

• The Battle

My opponent chose Earth Splinter as its team. Comprising of mostly Magic damage attackers. Well, the opposing i think is a bit on low side so lets check what happens.

Round 1

In this round, I should give this to the opponents team. My tank wasn't able to survive the opponents team offense so it fell down this early. So it cost my team to use the resurrect of River Hellondale early.

Round 2

This round is were my Coastal Sentry shows its battle prowess. Dismantling the opponents frontal line up.

Round 3

This is the round where it ends. as you can see, in the earlier part of this round, what remains in my opponent's were low on the health type of monsters. Since they are Unprotected, they are like paper tigers to melee attackers. So this round is where i defeated my opponent.

• It should be noted that in Unprotected ruleset, aside from neglecting the armor buffs, shatter and armor repair for your team, you must consider using a high health type of monsters to prolong their participation in your battle. With that, you have higher chances of winning.
