Elsie hasn't heard from her only surviving sister, the baroness, in 62 nights. Her sister sounded very distressed the last time they communicated. She had failed to contact the baroness using the amulet, which was the only means of communication in the splinterlands.

On one of their many battle adventures, Princess Sipha told Elsie about a formidable wizard who lives in the cave of mysteries, close to the Maka peak in ΛZMΛRÉ.

As a result of this, Elsie set out on a journey to meet with this powerful Wizard who was the only who could help her find and rescue the baroness. It took her 3 days to get to ΛZMΛRÉ and another day crossing the burning spring to get to the cave of mysteries.

Elsie noticed that the area was growing darker as she entered the cave. She was trembling from what danger might be lurking within, but she wasn't one to give up easily, so she continued deeper into the cave.

She heard what sounded like a rushing stream as she moved into the cave with both her palms magnetized to it's walls, and as she peered through the darkness, she saw what appeared to be fireflies but shone in a different, more magical way. Elsie drew even closer and peered into the crack before being stunned by what she discovered. A being in a meditative form was suspended above a glowing stream.

"I see that you arrived here unharmed and undamaged by the Torrent fiend. You must be able to tell some stories."

ALRIC STORMBRINGER's words reverberated loudly throughout the cave in a carefully staged act of intimidation. Elsie, who was now in front of him, was trying to remain calm but must have known that she had little chance of surviving the cave.

Elsie had traveled through the perilous Azmaré jungle, across the great archipelago, and up the scorching springs. Even less friendly than the terrifying Torrent friends are the monsters that ingest their food from Poseidar's ominous waters. Despite all odds, Elsie made it across, secured her safety, and managed to locate what she was looking for, a meeting with the most powerful wizard, ALRIC STORMBRINGER.

I seek your help in finding and rescuing the baroness, my only surviving Sister. She is a battle mage, and according to the laws of the Splinterlands, no mages is to be harmed.

Elsie managed to speak despite her ongoing trembling.

After an extended stay, he queried Elsie.

"Words have it that the death lord, THADDIUS BROOD, who stands strongly against magic, has imprisoned magical beings in his dungeon, stripping them of their abilities."

With subtle mischief in her voice, Elsie answered while now stooping to one knee. She knew Alric was very fierce against those who hated magic and she chose to use that well to her advantage.

Anxiety crept into the cave, and there was a long pause.

"Hmmmm! There are rumors that the death Lord has declared his stance against Magic"

ALRIC STORMBRINGER finally stated, with a deep groan in his voice, ignoring Elsie's words about her sister. He knew exactly what he had to do.

Before the Splintering, ALRIC had mastered the art of magic and it's importance in the Splinterlands. Rarely can something be rebuilt after it has been destroyed, and the Chaos Legion has chosen to attack magic this time. The one thing that he simply could not live without was magic.

ALRIC STORMBRINGER is the oldest ΛZMΛRÉan Summoner and founded the modern arts of Magic. ALRIC’s gift is not so much bringing the storm, but channeling it. He has lived for hundreds of years, and some stories claim he was alive before the Splintering. He walks around with a Huge staff, the source of his many magical powers. He works with magic and he was powerful. Every time he appears in battle, he gives his team of warriors the +1 magic and very rarely is he ever defeated.

Slowly settling on his feet from his suspended state, ALRIC STORMBRINGER strikes the ground with his staff, the source of his many magical powers, to call his tursted warriors to battle. He transports Elsie and his team of monsters from the Cave of Mysteries in Azmaré to Beluroc in Mortis using his teleportation abilities, bringing the fight right up to the opposition.

🌊TORRENT FIEND - FIRST LINE

TORRENT FIEND is positioned by ALRIC to deal with cunning enemy monsters. It can take a blow or two if lucky. It might look insignificant but this warrior knows how well to use it's attack against his enemies. A 3-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ warrior deserving of it's moniker, of which ALRIC STORMBRINGER is well aware of.

🌊DJINN OSHANNUS - SECOND LINE

Legend has it that this powerful monster is loyal and would do anything to fight against the chaos legion who stand to oppose Magic. Ancient monster with powerful magic abilities. DJINN OSHANNUS excellent 'forcefield ability' only can be attacked with monsters of +5. Magic attack misses him cause of his 'Phase ability' and if hit, his 'void ability' recues the damage. A 3-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Legendary warrior who has demonstrated it's prowess.

🌊VENARI WAVESMITH - THIRD LINE

VENARI WAVESMITH comes from a race of rat-like people with extraordinary knowledge. She is a skilled technician and mechanic, making powerful weapons such as the Splinterlands have never seen before. A 6-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ warrior with the 'protect ability' , giving all her team monsters double armor. She also 'Dispels ' by removing all positive status effects on enemy therefore causing great damage.

⚔️FURIOUS CHICKEN - FOURTH LINE

A 6-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ monster chicken who is not afraid to fight for their rights in the Splinterlands. This Chicken has the 'Enraged ability' which further infuriates it when hit, he makes the enemy regret that move. FURIOUS CHICKEN's attack is lethal and can serve well as a distraction by taking the front line or backline enemy hit for it's team members, giving room for the next monsters to gain some attack advantage.

As they all lined up for battle, the air became filled with the dread of an impending battle as the enemy mustered it's forces. The enemy summoner stepped forward;

"Thaddius Brood"

ALRIC STORMBRINGER says with animosity in his voice. These two were sworn enemies as ALRIC has never agreed with ENEMY-THADDIUS ways of dark arts.

"The great STORMBRINGER, we meet again👿"

Enemy-THADDIUS BROOD says with a raspy voice full of same animosity too. He too has reserved hatred for ALRIC. You see THADDIUS BROOD longed so long for powers and turned to the occult.

He started performing dark rituals and casting spells. And it didn't take long for him to come into contact with a sinister force that turned him into the powerful monster he is now.

ALRIC STORMBRINGER has spent his years protecting magic, and since the invasion of the Chaos Legion, there has been much work to do.

"It is against the laws of the Splinterlands to imprison magical beings guarded by the orderlies and stripping them of their abilities."

ALRIC replies him,

"I have done no such thing. I have only taken what is rightfully mine and so. Who made you the ruler here? You should be wary threading unfamiliar grounds, ALRIC, as you have come brining war to Mortis, my land."

THADDIUS BROOD replies with a loud grunt in his voice.

Both loosing their patience and in no mood for chit-chat, they all charge for battle.

Elsie who is a battle mage, quickly takes a stance to read the rules of battle.

	BACK TO BASICS: Monsters lose their own abilities. Summoner effects such as those that give abilities to monsters still take effect.
	MELEE MAYHEM: Melee monsters can attack from any position.

• SUMMONER-THADDIUS BROOD takes away '-1 magic' from ALRIC STORMBRINGER's monsters but ALRIC using his full might strikes the ground with his staff and restores his team's magic '+1'.

Immediately, the ENEMY-CRYPT BEETLE was killed by a lethal attack launched by DJINN OSHANNUS and VENARI WAVESMITH alternately. ENEMY-LIFE SAPPER is enraged by this, and she too launches a deadly attack at the TORRENT FIEND, instantly killing it. DJINN OSHANNUS is the target of an attack by ENEMY-CORPSE FIEND and ENEMY-SOUL STRANGLER, but they all miss. ENEMY-CORPSE FIEND is killed FURIOUS CHICKEN who charges at it.

Elsie, growing restless, took advantage of the opportunity to sneak through an opening and find a way underground. She hoped to find the baroness in one of the dungeons. However, each cell was either empty or occupied by other captives. Meanwhile, the fighting on the front lines has intensified.

DJINN OSHANNUS and VENARI WAVESMITH seize the opportunity to launch a lethal strike against ENEMY-LIFE SAPPER, killing her.
The enemy, now reduced to two monsters, becomes even more enraged, and ENEMY-URAEUS and ENEMY-SOUL STRANGLER both strike at DJINN OSHANNUS, causing him to lose -4 health. FURIOUS CHICKEN despite being unable to damage ENEMY-URAEUS' health, he manages to remove his defense, allowing his team to cause damage. When DJINN OSHANNUS and VENARI WAVESMITH see this, they both launch a lethal attack and instantly kill ENEMY-URAEUS.

FURIOUS CHICKEN and DJINN OSHANNUS finally swoops in with pleasure and takes him out by the time ENEMY-SOUL STRANGLER steps into position.

FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!

Furious about the crushing defeat, ENEMY-THADDIUS BROOD sneaks away from the summoner's stone and attempts to attack, but ALRIC sees him coming and, using his powerful magic, light emerges from his hands and skull staff, causing ENEMY-THADDIUS to vanish into thin air.

Elsie, finding her way to the surface again, weak and discouraged because she couldn't find the baroness, collapses and falls to her knees. Her sword was drawn and driven to the ground, and she rested her head on its hilt, tears streaming down her cheeks.

"Where are you, sister? How will I find you?"

Elsie muttered as she took a deep breath, clutched her amulet, and exhaled loudly.

ALRIC STORMBRINGER is brought to a halt by her sobbing. He then turns to face her.

"Nothing is hidden from me, I very well know what you did. Your sister was here three nights ago and then sold. Travel to Khymeria in search of the healer. She frequently visits the dungeon master's residence to prepare captives for battle. She is the only one with an answer to your question."

He says, then turns away and vanishes, returning to the Cave of Mysteries from which he draws his strength.

Elsie stands up, clutching her amulet and facing east. She starts walking quickly and soon breaks into a run. She had a long journey ahead of her and hoped to find her sister, the baroness, in Khymeria.

⚔️WHY I LIKE THE ALRIC STORMBRINGER SUMMONER CARD⚔️

ALRIC STORMBRINGER, is that one card from the ALPHA/BETA edition that you will find useful at any Mana-cap. I always engage him in battle because of his accurate 'Magic' which he gives monsters on his team. Think I have said this more times than one, I always use Magic when I am not so sure of what "perfect" line up to use. This was a simple and decent strategy for this battle.

A pretty decent Line will also be ALRIC STORMBRINGER as summoner > TORRENT FEIND > DJINN OSHANNUS > LOBSTRADAMUS > VENARI WAVESMITH > ICE PIXIE. This line-up adds up for a mid-mana cap battle of 24.

Even with rulesets where use of abilities isn't allowed such as in this battle, Alric and this team of monsters are a great pair. Why not give it a try this season and Let me know how it goes?

This amazing card comes in 2 editions. The Alpha and Beta versions, not sure what happened and why, but there you have it. The Regular Alpha is 85$, and Beta is 38$ at current market. While for rentals he goes for ~2.048 Dec per day, Level 1 at 120CP. At max level he goes goes for 499.9 Dec, Level 8 at 7,245CP. There's been a -81% drop in market price, prolly some market activities so later boarders can afford it, can't tell for sure.

Ah sweet Lawd😆!!! The value on this card is interesting, don't you agree?!. The Gold Alpha is 2900$, and Beta is 222$ at current market. While for rentals he goes for 29.116 Dec per day. Level 3 at 3000CP. At max level he goes goes for 573.221 Dec, Level 8 at 69,300CP. It's an amazing card, not at-all surprised at the value placed on.
