⚔️SOCIAL MEDIA CHALLENGE : ALASTAIR'S STRANGE ENCOUNTER⚔️

Doctor Alastair Lexington is an inquisitive researcher who is fascinated by the unseen realm.

During his research, he came across numerous journals proving the existence of the enigmatic dark. As intrigued as he was, he continued to delve deeper into the concept. Perhaps he went much deeper than he should have. Getting involved in the dark arts should not be taken lightly. You'd think he's always been this dark, but Alastair was once a kind, fine young man with knowledge far ahead of his time. But his curiosity quickly turned into obsession.

That wasn't the only reason for Alastair's obsession. Mages, summoners, and monsters rose to defend their territories soon after the splintering.

Summoner Lyanna Natura had extended him a rare invitation to embark on a journey to find her husband's whereabouts. The locket was with her, and the journey was by sea. She needed a seasoned researcher to help her study the blood stone Aggrodius Lightbringer had left behind and why the rebellion was so obsessed with possessing it, in addition to a team of warriors she trusted.

It was the fifth day on sea. Alastair was struggling to keep up with the tide. He grew even bigger. After numerous failed attempts to understand the stone, he soon turned to the dark arts, frustrated and desperate. He chose a book about summoning the dark eternals who provide answers to the unseen. Following the instructions, he damned the consequences by drawing the eternal ring, placing the lighted candles, and reciting the incantations. It was very quiet. When he was finished, nothing happened. It's as if he expected something mysterious to appear in the darkness and solve the puzzle.

"I'd do anything."

He said to himself as he rested his head on his work desk.

Just as Alastair was about to doze off, there was a loud crash at the door of his cabin. He was startled and stood up to see who or what it was. Outside, a few crew members were crashing on deck, as was summoner Lyanna Natura, who smiled and waved at him. When he looked down, he saw a black raven. Dead, lying on its back. Like some sort of ritual, red blood splattered.

“What the splintering hell?”

As he shut the door, he muttered to himself. The lamp light in his cabin suddenly began to flicker, and the candle lights went out. He noticed tow red eyes glowing from the corner of the room from silhouette figure wearing what appeared to be a coat and hat, felt it's dark presence.

"Would you do anything?"

A hoarse voice inquired. It was almost as if it was a challenge.

"Yes, please help me."

He sounded even more desperate.

"Alright. If that's all you want, I'll make the deal."

The dark image responded, moving closer to him this time. Doctor Alastair took a step back, attempting to conceal his shivering hands.

"I will grant you unparalleled knowledge. You will become a blight, carrying out my orders as I see fit. I will make you feared throughout the Splinterlands, and in exchange, your soul will be mine."

A black mist emerged from the dark eternals and into Alastair's mouth as soon as he said that. He was shaking and screeching as he fell to the floor of his cabin. He stood up, trembling slightly and barely in control of his own body.

He was intoxicated but felt powerful, and he could smell death like a vulture. He looked down at his glowing green veins that ran the length of his body. His expression was terrifying. He quickly scanned the room and grabbed a long, black coat and gloves. A strange face mask hung on the wall, resembling the skull of a raven with its long beak.

All he cared about was that it concealed his disturbing appearance. A loud stomp could be heard as he tightened the leather straps of his mask, almost tipping the ship over. He quickly exited his cabin; the weather had changed outside. The sky darkened, as if a storm was on its way.

The air became filled with the dread of an impending battle as the enemy mustered it's forces. This was a mission None of them were willing to forego, hence the determination to not surrender without a fight.

LYANNA NATURA - SUMMONER

LYANNA NATURA an 8-star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ seasoned summoner with powerful magic such as the Splinterlands have never seen before, quickly takes her battle stance. She knew the enemy was here for the locket and over her dead body would she let the rebellion have it as that was the only connection to finding her husband. Lyanna bends on one knee while resting her palm to the ships deck, drawing powers from deep down the seas belly. Lyanna amplifies warriors fighting alongside with '+1 Max Health'.

FAILED SUMMONER - FIRST LINE

LYANNA NATURA places her distant relative, FAILED SUMMONER in front to for his ability to 'magic reflect' which does reduced damage back when hit by magic attack monster. She perceived whoever the enemy was, would most likely come with magic. Although he failed as a summoner, he however has proven himself as an excellent warrior who fights fiercely. He has no attack type, but his speed of +2 and health of +9 will take enemies by surprise. FAILED SUMMONER also 'Demoralizes' the enemies with melee attack and 'strengthens' the health of his team. A 10-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ warrior deserving of his moniker, of which LYANNA NATURA is well aware of.

MUSHROOM SEER - SECOND LINE

Next she placed MUSHROOM SEER who spreads maddening spores everywhere his goes and very well dreaded in battle. This seer 'Silences' all magic enemies by reducing magic attacks, and finally 'poisons' them which does automatic damage to the enemies at the start of each round once applied. An 8-star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Rare warrior who has demonstrated it's prowess.

FUNGUS FIEND - THIRD LINE

The FUNGUS FIEND is a 1-star ⭐️ legendary warrior and master of the underworlds and thrives within caverns, deep inside swamps, or even within the hollowed-out trunks of great trees. It is able to burrow underground and bursts forth to attack its unsuspecting prey. Well deserving of it's moniker.

IZA THE FANGED - FOURTH LINE

IZA THE FANGED is a brutally honest savage who only takes what she knows rightfully belongs to her. Lyanna Natural took her on this Voyage for her impeccable abilities. She 'Stuns' her assailant, leading them to lose control of the situation, missing a turn to strike. Her 'Sneak ability ' targets and kills the last monster on the enemy's team instead of the first, and then goes on to 'Scavenge' for herself the health of every fallen monster, an ability she shares with DOCTOR BLIGHT. A 4-star⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ warrior deserving of her moniker.

⚔️DOCTOR BLIGHT - FIFTH LINE

Alastair finally stepped forward holding his study lamp with the skull staff given to him by the Dark eternal which was to be the source of all his power and a binding sign of their dark deal. Lyanna Natura was astonished by his new look.

"Alastair, what in Splintering Hell?"

She expressed this, appearing both amazed and shocked.

Alastair's deal with the dark eternals had left him powerful with outstanding abilities. He could now cause great 'affliction' by making enemies wounds not heal, and then 'poison' enemies every round of battle. His 'camouflage' makes it impossible to attack and kill except if placed in first position. He goes on to 'weaken' the all enemies by reducing their health and 'Scavenges' for himself the health of every fallen monsters. DOCTOR BLIGHT is a monster suitable in any situation.

As they all lined up for battle, a formidable team indeed, they ready their armor for battle.

The oldest ΛZMΛRÉan Summoner, ENEMY-ALRIC STORMBRINGER finally appeared. He founded the modern arts of Chaos Magic. ENEMY-ALRIC STORMBRINGER’s gift is not so much bringing the storm, but channeling it. He has lived for hundreds of years, and some stories claim he was alive before the Splintering. He walks around with a Huge staff, the source of his many magical powers. He worked with magic and he was powerful. When ENEMY-ALRIC STORMBRINGER appeared in battle, he increased his teams' magical attack by +1.

"You have a locket in your possession, and I am here to retrieve it. The locket possesses great power, and the orderlies are extremely skeptical that you will keep it safe enough so that it does not fall into the hands of the rebellion."

ENEMY-ALRIC STORMBRINGER replies as he spreads out his arms, staff in one and his magic ignited in the order. He moved closer to attack. Lyanna Natura clutched onto the Locket, she wasn't going to let go of it. The orderlies were right, it was too risky but it was the only link she had to finding her husband.

ENEMY-ALRIC STORMBRINGER then summons from the sea his team of wicked monsters, enemy-KELP INITIATE in front line, Enemy-TORRENT FIEND in second, Enemy-CHAOS AGENT the deceiver in third, enemy-RULER OF THE SEAS in fourth, Enemy-DWARVEN WIZARD in second, Enemy-CRUSTACEAN KING in backline.

Following that, they all charged forward into battle.⚔️

⚔️ THE BATTLE ⚔️

	EQUAL OPPORTUNITY: All Monsters will attack from any position and will target the enemy Monster with the lowest health.
	HEALED OUT: No type of healing is allowed in the battle. .

• LYANNA NATURA gives all her team of monsters '+1 health' as expected.

• ENEMY-ALRIC STORMBRINGER THE SUMMONER his team of wicked monsters the '+1 magic'

• All monsters get the 'OPPORTUNITY ABILITY' and 'HEALING ABILITY TAKEN AWAY' as per the ruleset.

• FAILED SUMMONER then 'Demoralizes' all enemy monsters, while 'Strengthening' his team monsters.

• MUSHROOM SEER quickly 'Silences' all enemy monsters. Immediately ENEMY-RULER OF THE SEAS' returns the favor and 'Silences' all DOCTOR BLIGHT'S team as-well.

• DOCTOR BLIGHT goes on to 'Weakens' all enemy monsters.

ENEMY-RULER OF THE SEAS swiftly runs, attacks and kills FUNGUS FIEND -2💔. DOCTOR BLIGHT furious, attacks and vanquishes ENEMY-TORRENT FIEND -2💔, while he and IZA THE FANGED scavenges their health for themselves. The battle grew even more fierce as ENEMY-RULER OF THE SEAS, strikes and vanquishes MUSHROOM SEER. ENEMY-DWARVEN WIZARD, swifts in also attacks and vanquishes IZA THE FANGED -4💔. The enemy was dominating and all just two on Lyanna's team were left. DOCTOR BLIGHT strikes and afflicts ENEMY-CRUSTACEAN KING, and immediately FAILED SUMMONER attacks and vanquishes ENEMY-RULER OF THE SEAS -3💔. Again DOCTOR BLIGHT, finishes off ENEMY-CRUSTACEAN KING -1💔, on seeing that ENEMY-DWARVEN WIZARD, swifts in also attacks and vanquishes FAILED SUMMONER -2💔, bit before falling, he magic reflects the attack back at ENEMY-DWARVEN WIZARD and he too is vanquished -2💔.

The only standing warrior on Lyanna's team was the great DOCTOR BLIGHT. He then attacks and poisons ENEMY-KELP INITIATE, before he could retaliate that attacks, DOCTOR BLIGHT repeatedly attacks and afflicts him until he is vanquished -7💔. He then turned to ENEMY-CHAOS AGENT the deceiver, strikes, poison and afflicts repeatedly until he was vanquished -3💔.

DOCTOR BLIGHT, THE HERO OF BATTLE, FATALITY!!!

"Very well done Doctor Alastair Lexington"

LYANNA praised, completely drenched with sea water while clutching tightly her locket.

DOCTOR ALASTAIR LEXINGTON takes off his heart in respect. ENEMY-ALRIC STROMBRINGER approaches Lyanna and tries to seize the locket, but she sees him coming and, using her powerful magic, light emerges from her hands, causing him to vanish into thin air.

Whatever happened to you in your cabin Doctor Alastair?

Lyanna Natura inquires from him.

"Let's just say I had an encounter with immortality"

He muttered as he turned to look at her.

"So what we call you now then, "The Raven King?"

Lyanna ask with a smile and obvious sarcasm in her voice.

"Call me DOCTOR BLIGHT"

Lyanna Natura and DOCTOR BLIGHT both turn towards the now clear and open sea, there was hope on this voyage to finding Aggrodius Lightbringer with the great Doctor by her side.

⚔️WHY I LIKE THE DOCTOR BLIGHT CARD⚔️

DOCTOR BLIGHT, is that one card who will give you literal goosebumps watching him battle. He has a fierce and fascinating abilities that when summoned in battle, it'll be difficult to target and kill him.
I always engage him in battle. His accurate 'Magic' with the 'affliction' , 'poison' , 'camouflage' , 'weaken' , and 'Scavenge' abilities is impeccable. This only demonstrates that if you play any splinter at all and confronted with especially the HEALED OUT ruleset, then engaging him will guaranty 90% chance of victory. It was a decent lineup and strategy for this battle.
