I warmly welcome you to another Splinterlands Social Media challenge week. I sincerely hope that you are all enjoying playing and moving up the leagues. How quickly the days pass. With 8 more days till the End of Season [EOS], the current season is already halfway through. I'm hoping to perform well and snag me some season chests and SPS because the competition is becoming tougher every day. Speaking about SPS, we now receive it in our daily quests and season chests, as well as when we win matches instead of DEC.

I have earned a decent amount thus far and sincerely hope it's same for you.

The past week has been extremely interesting. For whatever reason, Splinterlands-ranked-Battle kept throwing low mana battles at me. Now, to be completely honest, I'm a player who believe in brute force, as a result, I am my best in high mana battles of 35 or more. But at the time, it wasn't the case. I stopped after losing around 4 battles in a row. My lineups were obviously off. I had Earth Splinter rentals active and decided to make good use of it. I then studied a couple cards. Something to round out the 12 mana battles I keep being matched with.

To my surprise I discovered that this little experiment kept winning. True, Splinterlands basically encourages trying out diverse strategies, but once I discovered this one, I couldn't help but keep forcing it down my opponents' throats and simply destroying their teams. I'll be recommending this strategy to other players who might be having trouble winning battles with low mana caps, like myself. First, I'll introduce you to these monsters, explain what I learned, and why I chose them before I show you the battles in which I used them.

MYLOR CROWLING

The great MYLOR CROWLING, a summoner with the supernatural ability to grant the Thorns ability. This ability is so deadly that when monsters with it are attacked by melee attackers, it does damage back to the attacker. The awesome fact about this summoner is that, he gives the thorns ability to all monsters on his team, making them even more fierce.

👉WHY I PICKED MYLOR CROWLING

Summer Mylor Crowling is Anti-Melee, hence, he is particularly effective when you envisage your enemy to come at you with Melee Attack.

The Regular [left] Dice edition cost $16.9 at current market. While for rentals this summoner goes for ~8.9 Dec per day, Level 1 at 40CP. At max level this card is might pricey and goes for 797.9 Dec, Level 8 at 4,830CP. It is really affordable to buy and own now at level 1.

The Gold [right] Dice edition is quiet pricey even at start, costing $175 at current market. While for rentals card goes for 9.908 Dec per day. Level 2 at 2000CP. There is currently no Gold foil of this summoner for rent at max level. but at level 5 he goes goes for 384.4 Dec at 14,000CP.

This summoner is such a valuable card to have cause of the fact that he is RARE, implying almost always fits all rulesets and battle mana cap.

⚔️ FURIOUS CHICKEN

The 4-star 🐔FURIOUS CHICKEN🐔 are not afraid to fight for their rights in the Splinterlands. This Chicken has the Enraged ability at higher levels, but I currently only have level 4 to battle with. 🐔FURIOUS CHICKEN🐔 might look little, but it's attack is lethal and can serve well as a distraction by taking the front line or backline enemy hit for it's team members, giving room for the next monster to gain some attack advantage.

This cards attack type is Melee, a Rare card and it is part of the Neutral unit. It costs absolutely 0-mana to use in battle , as a result, it will be an excellent card for all, especially low mana battles.

Let us now delve deep into this angry Chicken to discover what makes it so unique. I am using a level 4 Gold foil , it has no ability and has 1-melee, 1-speed, and 1-health

FLESH GOLEM

This formidable golem battles with the strength of 100 men. The forest is home to Anumün's FLESH GOLEM. He is the guardian of the river of power from which he drinks. He can heal himself and regenerate his powers. Magical attackers have no chance against him because of his Void ability.

This cards attack type is Melee, and it is part of the Earth unit. It costs 6-mana to use in battle , as a result, it will be an excellent card for both mid & high mana ruleset battles.

Let us now delve deep into this Golem to discover what makes him so unique. I am using a level 5 Gold foil , and has 3-melee, 3-speed, and 10-health

FLESH GOLEM is well-known for it's magical ability;

HEAL ability- This ability allows him to restore or regenerate a portion of his health each round.

At level 1 this card possesses 2-Melee Attack At 3-speed with 9-health. It's initial level, this card has high health which is very useful even without an ability.

level 3 this card maintains Level stats only with an extra health point making it 10, and also gets the Heal ability. Because of the Heal ability, it will heal him each round, making him difficult to kill.

level 7 this card now gets 3-Melee attack at 3-speed with 10-health and gains the Void ability which will protect him against magic magic attackers.

At Max level 10, this card gets 4-Melee attack at 3-speed with 11-health along with a the same abilities. This increased stats really makes him a big bull on the battle field.

👉WHY I PICKED FLESH GOLEM

I picked FLESH GOLEM because he is a self Healing monster, hence, I envisaged that my Enemy will come at me with spellcasters. This Monster will help me outlast the enemies monsters in battle.

This card is from the earlier editions of Alpha and Beta. The Regular Alpha cost $12.6 , while the Regular Beta cost $3.5 at current market. For rentals this card is ridiculously dirt cheap at 0.099 Dec per day, Level 1 at 15CP. At max level this card goes for 86.3 Dec, Level 10 at 7,954CP.

The Gold Reward edition it's sorta pricey and goes up abit, costing Alpha for $225 and Beta for $69 at current market. While for rentals card goes for 1.280 Dec per day. Level 4 at 750CP. There is currently no Maxed level card for rentals, hence the level 8 card goes for 39.5 Dec at 9,750CP. It's really a great card own.

FUNGUS FIEND

The FUNGUS FIEND is a legendary warrior card and master of the underworlds that thrives within caverns, deep inside swamps, or even within the hollowed-out trunks of great trees. It is able to burrow underground and bursts forth to attack it's unsuspecting enemy.

This cards attack type is Melee, a Rare card and it is part of the Neutral unit. It also cost absolutely 0-mana to use in battle , as a result, it will be an excellent card for all, especially low mana battles.

SCREECHING VULTURE

The SCREECHING VULTURE is fantastic beast that feast on rotten flesh of enemies. This creature fly's over and knows exactly what enemy to attack then scavenges over it's health.

This cards attack type is Melee, and it is part of the Earth unit. It costs 3-mana to use in battle , as a result, it will be an excellent card for both mid & high mana ruleset battles.

Let us now delve deep into this scavenger to discover what makes it so unique. I am using a level 5 Gold foil , and has 2-melee, 4-speed, and 3-health

SCREECHING VULTURE is well-known for it's magical abilities;

OOPORTUNITY ability- This ability allows this vulture to attack from any position and targets enemies with the weakest health.

FLYING ability- This ability allows it to evade and attack ranged and melee enemy monsters with no flying abilities.

At level 1 this card possesses 1-Melee Attack At 2-speed with 2-health along with two great abilities Flying and Opportunity . Even in it's initial level, this card has nice health and abilities to use and cause great damage.

level 6 this card gets 2-Melee attack at 4-speed with 2-health and still maintains abilities from initial level.

At Max level 10, this card gets 3-Melee attack at 5-speed with 4-health along with a new ability scavenge. This card becomes pretty dangerous at this level and very useful.

You can buy or rent this cards easily in-game SPLINTERLANDS or PEAKMONSTERS. Buying the gold foil now at this prize will be the wise thing for me to do as I am back in Gold I league now and approaching diamond, never know how the market turns out.

These 5 monster cards cost $35 for Regular foil and $380 for Gold foil.

Depending on what you want to achieve, be it winning cards with good CP or winning cards with affordable rentals. It's a win-win.

Without Further ado, let's look at examples and positioning of these cards in 3 different battles and see why they're such a 12 Mana Cap formidable team of monsters.

This was an interesting battle with the FOG OF WAR ruleset, implying that all Monsters lose the Sneak and Snipe ability.

My Team Line up was pretty decent. Contrary to the norm of having the frontline monsters with heavy tanks, Implying that i should've first placed FLESH GOLEM, I instead went for FURIOUS CHICKEN in Front position to serve a reinforcement for the first or half round of battle which is usually longer. FLESH GOLEM in Second position recharges each round, hence the shorter the round(s) the better.

My opponent also thought like me and came at with a similar lineup and his Main heavy tank as ENEMY-XENITH MONTH along with Summoner SCARED ILAMA, giving all monsters +2 health, cleanse and Last stand ability.

I then placed SCREECHING VULTURE in fourth position seeing he was a Flying monsters, FUNGUS FIEND in Third position would help hold the ground while he fly and attacks non-flying Enemy Monsters with the least health the first round. It was a fierce first round in which FURIOUS CHICKEN and SCREECHING VULTURE played their role well, leaving FLESH GOLEM with shorter round to Heal and Slam!!!

ENEMY-XENITH MONK was had to eliminated because he too healed every round, and even with the last stand which should've made ENEMY-XENITH MONK more difficult to kill, but FLESH GOLEM had a better advantage, the Thorns ability which did damage back as done him.

This was also an interesting but intense battle with the EXPLOSIVE WEAPONARY and HEAVY HITTERS ruleset, implying that all monsters had the Blast and Knockout ability.

The battle started off with fierce hits from the enemy against my team. I used the same Lineup because it looked the best IMO. FURIOUS CHICKEN in front served it's purpose well, being eliminated in first round by ENEMY-CERBERUS. My opponent also came at me with similar lineup but even more fierce, having monsters that used the Reflect, sneak and Heal. The enemy sneak monster ENEMY-KOBOLD MINER targeted backline monsters SCREECHING VULTURE, attacked but the Thorns ability did same damage back and killed enemy.

But as soon as the battle got into it's second round, FLESH GOLEM with the strength of 100 men, kept slamming until he had vanquished the Enemy.

This was another 12 Mana Battle with HEALED OUT and LOST MAGIC rule set. Implying, all monsters lost their heal ability and Magic monsters wasn't allowed.

Another brilliant battle and definitely not the Ideal for a Healed out ruleset because you need FLESH GOLEM healing up and smashing.

My opponent came with a decent lineup, although ENEMY-PELACOR CONJURER was not needed, cause his reflect ability would never be used anyways, no Magic monster allowed.

But You'd amazed to watched the role front line FURIOUS CHICKEN played. Once the enemy managed to eliminate FUNGUS FIEND and SCREECHING VULTURE.
FURIOUS CHICKEN still in first position, kept slamming the enemy monsters for 20 rounds until the Splinterlands activated fatigue which killed ENEMY-PELACOR CONJURER and FURIOUS CHICKEN.

FINAL NOTES ON BATTLES

I totally enjoyed the use of these monsters in Battle, it was exciting to involve them in battle and go on a winning streak. It was a good lineup and strategy for each ruleset. As already Stated, my reasons behind chosen each made them a fantastic peer. Totally recommend this Lineup 💯.
