😊Hey Battle Mages!
I'd like to extend a warm welcome to another of my Splinterlands Battlogue. I truly hope you are having a brilliant start to the New season. We've been graced with a longer season this time around , but, let's make the mistake to lose guard as the days fly by so quickly. I wonder, who will be the champions of the board this season? Saddle up and answer the Battle Cry Mages.

The last 15days has been extremely challenging, there's been alot of updates to the game, as you can easily see from the Latest Release Notes Here. It's been tough keeping up especially in this bear market; But, in all I'm thankful because I kept real to growing by taking baby steps. I sincerely hope you're doing equally well my friend.

From my precious weekly blogs, I've shared with you my Ranked & Brawls, SPS & Chaos Legion challenges. It's true that Splinterlands mainly encourages players to try out various strategies; I have been doing that for weeks now, and it's a rewarding experience because I keep learning new cards, their abilities, and how to best engage them in battle. This post isn't about rulesets, I'm here to introduce you to the MOST WANTED MONSTERS monsters and have the perfect battle for this purpose, but, it is good to note that down this post I have shared what I pulled from my End of Season [EOS] reward chest and other in-betweens.

⚔️`AN ENEMY HAS BEEN FOUND, LET'S GO TO BATTLE`⚔️

This is a Modern format battle, meaning only monsters from the Chaos Legion, Untamed and Riftwatchers editions including their Soulbound, Promo and Reward cards were allowed in battle. Although I used mostly chaos legion monsters because I find them more useful in most ability focused battle. The whole squad were reinforced, at Gold level, they have impressive abilities.


🍃SCARRED LLAMA MAGE: A summoner with the supernatural ability to CLEANSE by completely removing all debuffs placed on frontline Monster by enemy, and, also grant the LAST STAND ability to help sustain warrior for longer. She also grants all her warriors +2 HEALTH points.	🍃HILL GIANT: A common card & costs 3 mana to be used in the battlefield. A melee attacker who can take a good amount of hits. It's got the STUN ability, which causes enemy to miss their next turn of attack.	⚔️CHAOS AGENT: dreaded by many for his cunning words and DODGEE ability to evade melee and ranged attacks. His PHASE ability causes the magic to miss him while he does double damage back at enemy.	⚔️URAEUS: A venomous cobra with the POISON ability which does health damage to target at start of each battle round, and the SNEAK ability which targets enemies weakest health monsters.


⚔️VENARI MARKSRAT: The most wanted neutral MARTYR of battle which the SNARE ability that targets flying monsters.	🍃PELACOR MERCENARY: A true regenerative tank healer and a powerful Melee warrior. His Heal ability allows him to restore or regenerate a portion of his health each round. Whereas he Flying ability to fly over enemies with non-flying ability and fiercely attack them.	🍃FUNGUS FLINGER: The Most wanted MARTYR of the Earth Splinter with the BLIND ability to cause Melee & Ranged attackers to miss their attack.

*STANDARD*	MODIFICATIONS TO THE RULES AND MECHANICS
*MANA CAPACITY*	27
*AVAILABLE ELEMENT*	only Water🌊, Earth🍃, Life🌬, and Dragon🐲 elements allowed

This was a mid-mana cap battle with the CLOSE RANGE which meant ranged monsters could attack from any position, ODD ONES OUT which meant only monsters with odd mana could be used in battle and finally EARTHQUAKE which meant non-flying monsters took 2 melee damage at the end of each round.

Once I see the EARTHQUAKE ruleset, my mind quickly goes to BRIGHTON BLOOM, the summoner who grants all team monsters the Flying ability, it's an easy keep them safe from damage approach. But what happens when you don't have this Summoner or want to risk taking a different approach? This battle will help explain the Out-of-BRIGHTON-BLOOM-thinking.

So I went with SCARRED LLAMA MAGE to give my team the +2 Health advantage as 5-out-of-6 of my monsters where non-flyers. My Main HP Tank being the Melee flyer PELACOR MERCENARY, I then divided my team into 2. The first three monsters make the 1t set, and last three monsters make the 2nd set.

The first sets who aren't non-flyers got eliminated after weakening the enemies strongest tank as expected. Then comes the 2nd set, if I had used summoner BRIGHTON BLOOM, then it will have been difficult to quickly deplete the health of my two well positioned martyrs, this ultimately defeats their purpose in battle.

They're placed them so strategically in order that their deaths will give PELACOR MERCENARY added +1 stats x2. The enemy assumed they were in control now, little did they know what was about to happen. As soon as the Martyrs were killed, PELACOR MERCENARY stats increased, like that wasn't enough, the Last stand ability multiplied those stats making him monstrous, over powered and with One hit at a time, he cut down the enemy. ⚔️FLAWLESS VICTORY!!!⚔️

THE MARTYRS OF BATTLE

The Martyr ability Implies that when this Monster(s) dies, adjacent Monsters get +1 to all stats.

FUNGUS FLINGER is one of the new Soulbounds issued to payers in reward chest. This Monster card if of the Earth Splinter, a Range attacker at 3 mana cost. The FUNGUS FLINGER has amazing speed point of 4 and decent Health points of 4 aswell. Though it's range attack is 1, this monster makes up for that wit it's MARTYR and BLIND abilities. The BLIND ability comes in handy when shielding it's Melee and Range attack team monsters from assualt I have only used level 8, but I see it gets very interesting at level 10 when it gains the AFFLICTION ability.

VENARI MARKSRAT indeed lives up-to it's purpose and it also one of the reward cards issued to players. A new soulbound card of the Earth splinter. VENARI MARKSRAT is a 3 mana card with 3 point speed and 4 health points. This Fantastic rat [can't believe I'm saying that, over here we squash it😂] makes up for it's 1 range attack point with it's SNARE ability which comes in handy when dealing with Flying enemy monsters. I have not used the the level 8 of this card, but I see it gains additional powers, the SHATTER ability which destroys enemies armor.

This truly has turned out to be my top favorite Cards, even better their Martyr ability is that you can adapt these monsters irrespective of your opponent's match history and the allowed rulesets. My approach to MARTYR is that, I have to pay attention and adjust card strategy based on my team's weaknesses or what I believe the enemy's attacking skill will be.

REKINDLING MY STAKING SPS CHALLENGE

It's been awhile since I challenged myself on this matter, well, now with the SPS staking requirements for ranked rewards, I have no choice but to be serious about it.

So last season I earned a total of 4,040 SPS from Ranked [Modern + Wild], Brawl, Daily & Seasonal chest, then finally from holding Nightmare & Land rewards. This brought me to a total of 18,117 staked SPS in total. I have a long way to 58,000 SPS needed to play Gold freely without renting🤞.

END OF SEASON REWARD CHEST

Splinterlands is a rewarding game, and, for every battle won you earn chest which could contain random rewards like Cards, Splintershards, Packs [if lucky] Potions and Merits. I was able to grind a good number of Gold chest last season. I got to Pull 3 Chaos legion pack, adding to the numbers, that's very nice. 1 Legendary SORREL THE BALE, 4 unique EPIC regular-foil, 5 unique RARE regular-foil, 13 unique COMMON regular-foil [Hey look! I pulled more copies of Venari Marksrat & Fungus Flinger] in multiple copies for leveling up, 163.5 more SPS, and 3100 merits. This isn't a very bad reward, I wish the SPS could swap with the merits thou😆.

I also finished 2nd in the Modern Leaderboard and 5th in Wild leaderboard, giving me a total of 70k Dec. I have used 20K Dec to buy 4 Riftwatchers pack and now left thinking of what to do with the rest Dec, off course i need to rent staked SPS for rewards and some cards. I wouldn't pay so much focus on the reward chest and focus more on Leaderboard to earn DEC and buy me Riftwatchers cards...or I will ermmm...shit... Hmmmm! I think we have a dilemma on our hands...hmmmm! well, I will try to figure this out. 😉Alrighty, that will be all about my most wanted post.
