All that ails would be remedied with an influx of new users. So, how does one get new users?
Splinterlands, like the rest of Hive, needs to start thinking like a regular company ... they need to start promoting. Promotional activities, of course, cost a lot of money ... unless you're smart enough to pay for it with regenerating upvotes.

They are expecting a few large guilds to jump in as son as the general sale begins which should adds thousands of new users in one go.
Apart from that the best way is to create a good experience and tell others about it. Success breeds success and as the top played game in blockchain the numbers tell a good story.
