Splinterland's : Collateral Damage/Reckless can lead to interesting battles.

When I play Splinterland's, I do check my battle till the end and observe round by round that how the battle is progressing and what looks like the turning point of the battle. I analyze the battle to understand if my opponent has used better cards or better strategy to defeat me. if opponent has used better cards, then I may be limited as i have to purchase that card and it largely depend upon the price of card and available liquid balance. But if opponent has used the better strategy and those cards are also with me, then I have just to note the combination that opponent has used and repeat that combination or strategy on my next encounter in similar battle ruleset and mana limit.

Round 1

So here is my battle with "Collateral Damage" ruleset. It is the start of the battle with all the buffs/debuffs of the monsters and Archons are applied for the both team.

Round 2

I observed that still 6 monsters have their shields intact ,though all monsters lost the health due to attack or collateral damage. Also in this round , I do not lost a single monster and same goes for my opponent.

Round 3

More or less the battle looks symmetrical, but my use of "Wailsworn Specter" that provided "Bloodline Tribute" to my Mindless Thrall is actually a brilliant idea on my part.

Round 4

I will say this is the most interesting part of battle and one should watch it to understand how even it look like I have upper hand at start of the round, just converted into the losing position. With all thanks to RNG God and the "phase" ability in the end saved day for me.

My observation.

I thought Shield would be taking the "Reckless" damage, but it causes a loss of 1 health to the adjacent units for each successful attack irrespective of the damage of the attack. Shield remain intact and monster lost 1 health.

I am not sure how it will behave in the explosion ruleset, when a single monster can cause damage to 3 monsters of the opponent, but I guess , it will be treated as a single successful attack and cause damage to allied monsters only once.

Tips for this ruleset.

Since the damage to the allied monster is based on a successful attack, irrespective of the value of the attack, so it is advisable to use monster that can cause heavy damage. Also do not use monster that are already low in the health. Using no attack monsters with heal or using monsters having taunt ability at no attacking position is also a good strategy in this ruleset,
