Is Gold worth it?

I recently tried to level up my league and finally play on GOLD.

I mostly play in Silver league for a while now even though my ratings would usually go as high as the 2000 mark. I would usually rank up only up to Gold 3 at the last day of the season by renting cards (which became crazily expensive at EOS) hoping to get better chest rewards for the season end.

I am quite hesitant to try on Gold since moving to the next tire would usually feels like learning the game again due to more abilities the card has. Bronze meta wont usually work on Silver tier. And the same goes with Silver Meta that could be easily be swap away by the cards at Gold level.

But with the new reward system, giving better chances on higher league, I finally got the courage to try and play on GOLD LEAGUE. And so far, I am doing ok (I think) even though I am not using max cards for Gold. Lvl 6 cards works enough for me. A bit more challenging for sure, but I experienced playing against lvl 3 summoners only (lots of them) so they are giving me easy wins :)

I don't have much time to play so my goal would usually be 8-10 up to 15 chests (depending on the time I play and who I play with -- more lvl 3 bots please). Aiming for higher than that is not too worth the stress for me since the Focus Points needed for the next chest are already high and by that time my ECR was already at 60-70%. So I find it better play fewer but everyday than maxing out my ecr in a day and rest for a day or 2 to regain ecr.

I own cards mostly for power so I rely solely on rents for me to be able to get wins. Since I don't rent max out cards and my rent focuses only on my Focus Splinter, my rent cost ranges from 300-500DEC a day.

So is it really worth it to play on GOLD especially for us who rely on rent? Here are my rewards for the past few days, I will let you decide :)

Barely getting my rentals back. Good thing my alt account is doing better

My plans is play in Gold for the first part of the season and then move back to silver towards the end as the rental tends to get higher towards the EOS. It is too much risky to rent higher plus I have noticed that it is harder to get wins 2 days, much more on the last day since most LB seeking players are catching up for their wins to be in position. So having lower level cards it is so hard to beat the mal level ones.
