Skeleton Assassin and Death Elemental: A Love Story

This is Episode 2 of a Splinterlands Valentine series:

Who would have thought that Skeleton Assassin and Death Elemental had a thing going on? I guess under their horrifying appearances and deadly tendencies, they were able to find love. Here are the reference pictures I went by:

First I started with a simple frame:

Next, I did a quick outline:

I filled in the basic colors, and also shaded the Skeleton Assassin:

I cleaned up the Death Elemental a little more:

I filled in and shaded the Death Elemental, and also put an inspirational Valentine's message!

Aww, how sweet. Death Elemental wants Skeleton Assassin to be their Boo. Love isn't so hopeless after all.
