Unlucky Even Steven Match | Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secret Challenge

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, there is even stevens ruleset that only allows monster with even mana cost to fight on the battlefield. I tried my best but unlucky in the end, let's see how the battle goes !

Battle of The Week

Here is my formation for the battle :

Rules set:

Unprotected : No armor at all on the battlefield. Physical monster have a boost on attack here.
Even Stevens : Only monster with even mana cost may enter the battlefield.
37 mana cap: medium high mana cap, enough to give some option on this restricted monster selection due to even stevens.
Splinter available : Only fire, light, and death splinters are available

My Lineup's Explanation :

Summonersimage.png+2 speed, Scattershot, Pierce2 Speed for getting early turn and try eliminate enemies as fast as possible, and scattershot for eliminating backline monster.
Tankerimage.pngBlast, RedemptionFragile monster but having high speed and damage with the blast and redemption. I hope with speed buff, he could waste some enemies attack.
2nd Monsterimage.pngCleanse, Slow2nd tank with speed buff to makes my team even faster.
3rd Monsterimage.pngclose range, Weaken3rd tanker with close range and high damage, plus weaken to makes it easier eliminating enemies. Had decent damage as well
4th Monsterimage.pngStun, FuryAs antitipation for taunt monster, and stun spamming to makes enemies cannot attack and healing themselves. Decent magic attack spammer as well
5th Monsterimage.png-Attacking monster with 3 range damage and 4 speed.
6th Monsterimage.pngOpportunity, camouflage, speed buff, afflictionMain hitter with 4 range damage and opportunity to eliminate enemies weakest. Had speed buff to help the team and affliction to prevent enemies for healing.

Didn't bad right ? But yeah it's always kind of gambling having the scattershot ability, and relying to much on speed for the front monster.

Both team lose 2 monster at this turn, and such unlucy for my rats despite high speed are unable to flee enemies attack. 4-4 situation at the end of 1st round.

Another same situation with both team losing 1 monster here. 3 vs 3 situation at the end of 2nd round. Still having the chance to win the game.

Such an unlucky for me to miss the enemies despite having higher speed, that flying is effective there for my enemies. Hard situation for my team as I got my hitter on the front, but still having the chance if eliminate the enemies tanker.

Another unlucky situation as my hitter didn't try to eliminate the tanker and eliminating the back monster instead. Now it's clear who win since i got no more attacker here.

Discuss About Even Stevens :

What Should We Get :
Since this ruleset are not having much impact and just limiting the monster available, it's best to get as many cards on the deck, so you have enough option when even stevens appears. And try having some solid monster based on the available splinters and mana cap, plus another ruleset if there is any.

What Should We Avoid:
Avoid only rely on certain monster, because when this ruleset comes, you might unable to use them !

What would i do next ?
Keep battling, I will try using solid tanker instead of having fragile high speed monster, becaue my RnG is kinda bad.

Conclussion

With limited monster selection, having as many monster on your deck is very important to give you option on the battlefield, the rest is about mana cap, splinter available, and other ruleset.
