Water Battle on Five Alive | Splinterlands Weekly Battlemage Secret Challenge

Hello everyone, welcome back to Ramadhanight's Hive Blog on Splinterlands Weekly Battle Mage Secrets Challenge's Session. For this week Battle Challenge, there is five alive ruleset as the challenge, which only allowed 5 monster to fight on the battlefield. This mean less combination and support we can use, let's see how my battle goes !

Battle of The Week

Here is my formation for the battle :

Rules set:

Five Alive : Only 5 monster able to fight on the battlefield
50 mana cap: High mana cap to bring big monsters
Splinter available : Water and Death Splinter are Available

My Lineup's Explanation :

Position	Ability	Strategy
Summoners	+1 speed, +1 armor, and +1 health	Versatile neutral summoner, as my main summoner with max level to bring highest level monster. The buff is very usefull as well, especially when I tried to combine it with the flee ability.
Tanker	Void, Phase, Forcefield	Usefull monster with anti magic ability by reducing enemies magic attack with void and got miss chance with the phase. The forcefield is usefull as well to go against huge hitter.
2nd Monster	Reach, Blind	2nd tanker and hitter with the reach. Got blind to help the team especially the tank to avoid enemies attack
3rd Monster	Opportunity, Poison	Main hitter with opportunity, 5 melee damage, and poison to eliminate enemies faster
4th Monster	Double Attack, Shatter	Break enemies armor in one hit, and had another chance to hit enemies. Got melee attack as well in case all friends up front is eliminated.
5th Monster	Repair Amor	3 range damage and repair armor to help him repair own armor or allies that need the repair.

High speed combined with blind and repair, plus damager from magic and physical

The battle scene are also explained below:

At the end of 1st round, there is no one is eliminated, but enemies tanker already lost it's armor and 4 health while my team is still solid.

At the end of 2nd round, enemies tanker is eliminated while my team still solid with tanker damaged a little. 5 vs 4 situation for my team at the end of 2nd round.

At the end of 3rd round, my enemy lose it's front monster again, while my team still got five survive, but my oshanus is already having low health. 5 vs 3 situation at the end of 3rd round for my team.

At the end of 4th round, my team still solid while my enemy just having 2 monster left. Easy to guess who win, right ?

Yap, my team win with five alive !

Discuss About Five Alive :

What Should We Get :
Since the monster is having 1 reduce of ammount, then the mana for each monster could be higher, and this mean monster with strong ability and high mana will be more usefull rather than high ammount just like usual battle. With that limitation, try anticipating big monster as well. Giant Killer will be usefull if the mana cap is high enough. Forcefield might be usefull as well since high level and high mana monster often having high damage

What Should We Avoid:

We need to avoid using low mana monster with low stats and ability, because with 1 less monster, more mana can be used for each monster rather than the usual math.

What would i do next ?

I will try bring a giant killer if it's a high mana cap ruleset.

Conclussion

On five alive ruleset, we got 1 less monster on the battlefield, so try maxing out the mana for high mana monster that having great stats and ability, and try anticipate enemies giant with the giant killer and forcefield ability .
