Hi guys, in this week's Splinterlands Share Your Battle Challenge, we have been tasked to fight a match with Crystal Jaguar. For those who doesn't know, Crystal Jaguar is a life monster who doesn't have any hability before level 4. This is one of the best tanks in the Only 4 Mana or Less rule, because he has a very good health and some armor. Playing crystal jaguar + Divine Healer + TruthSpeaker or ArmorSmith can build a very solid defense against melee and ranged attacks.
***

In the level 4 the Crystal Jaguar gets even more annoying to play against because of the thorns hability. And at level 9 it becames the melee damage monsters nemesis, with thorns + retaliate.

THE MATCH
These were the rules of the game:
Only monsters & summoners that cost 4 mana or less can be used in battle.

My opponent history shows me that he likes to play mage water deck, with Alric, but as the rules doesn't allow that (only life and fire decks could be used) I doesn't know what exactly i would be facing.

I choose the life deck because of the shield i could get from Tyrus, that shiled would help me against meleed and ranged damage (what i would probably be facing with life and fire decks). To complete the line up i put Crystal Jaguar as the tank, Divine Healer to keep him alive and even as a secondary tank, Furious Chicken (this card is like a joker who can be played as a bait tank, last monster to play against sneak and even in the second position against snipe), and 2 ranged damages to kill the monsters my opponent plays.
A couldn't understand why exactly my opponent played just 2 monster, utilizing only 7 mana when he could play 11 more mana if he wants, but i woulnd't ignore a win, so be it.

Analysis of Crystal Jaguar

This card has very high hp plus a small shield for his cost, as you progess in the leagues and level up the crystal jaguar this monster gets really strong in the low mana matches. You can play very well against the majority of the other decks with 18 or less mana cap. But if you play against a deck focused in magic damage you will probably lose.
