All I can say is, I am very impressed. Good job to the team from @splinterlands , this update is long awaited but I must say it is one that is definitely worth the wait.

I know that there are many things being covered in the article, but I shall focus only on the rewards side. For the remaining like the quest potion as well as new abilities, I have included the link for you to read on your own! Now in a nutshell, this is what is going on!

So, the entire rewards system will change (for the better). Players will now be able to potentially earn way more rewards, and better rewards too.

Daily Quest

So the daily quest will be changed to focus daily focus, whereby a specific splinter element will be showcased. Apparently, the more you complete and win a battle, the more it will add up to your focus reward points (FP). We will have 24hrs to accumulate the points. A total of 30 chest can be received daily, with the quality of the chest dependent on the league. So, the chest in a Champion league will be of a higher value than the chest in Diamond league and so on. As I am in the Silver league, I would be a tinge concerned on the type of rewards that I would be receiving. Nevertheless, 30 chests! For someone that utterly enjoy the thrill of opening chests, this is a dream come true. My current End of Season rewards is a mere 15 chests, and I would have to wait 2 weeks for that. Now I can potentially open 30 in a day, goodness! I ain't complaining about this!

Quality of Loot Chests

As the say, a picture speaks a thousand words. Now the higher your rank, the better the possibility of your rewards. The breakdown of the percentage of receiving the rewards is as shown!

Season Rewards

Now just like the daily quest changing for the better, so did the EOS. So with everything pretty much similar to the daily quest, the EOS allows you to open up to 150 Loot Chests. That is just, mad... I am so darn excited over this! I can't wait for the next EOS, I think the entire Splinterland Community would have an insane hype! And also, it now allows us to use the highest tier reached and not the ending tier. Meaning, gone are the days whereby people have to crowd and be fleeced with high rental fees on the last day of the season. The developers heard us, hooray!

Reward Shares

Now this is interesting, and I am so happy about this. So basically, the new way to calculate the rewards per win includes a portion about the cards used. While currently using certain cards such as GF cards gives us a bump in DEC, now there is an additional aspect and that is the cards used. Basically, for every basic card that is used (those that you don't own but the game allows you to use), you will deduct a portion of the total DEC you will receive. How much? As I said earlier, a picture speaks a thousand words!

Conclusion

Now this is a wonderful piece of news for me, and I believe the community is loving it as well! With the Reward Shares algorithm change, bots will now have to make crazy investments of buying cards before they are useful. That being the case, the ROI of using a bot will dip, and hopefully there would be more players and less bots. Also with the introduction of Focus Reward Points, there are lower incentives for a bot to grind through without any ECR. Instead, it seems to be more rewarding to just own 1 account, and playing it properly. Now enough of my opinions, perhaps we should look at market indicators.

Though there are not much differences, you can clearly see though that there are quite a few support attempts to push the value of DEC up. I think these are really great signs. While the entire crypto world seems to be crashing, a small bullish indicator is already a gem in the ocean.

Once again, I still feel that it is worth investing into assets associated with Splinterlands. It is both fun and yet rewarding!
