Weekly Challenge

Weekly challenge here we go! This week we have Hill Giant! Same as the usual, before we get on to the battles, let us have a brief description about this card.

Also, anyone else feel that this guy resembles those giants in the anime series Attack On Titan? Or is it just me? Haha.

Card Introduction

Card Name: Hill Giant
Mana Cost: 3
Rarity: Common
Splinter: Earth
Abilities: None
Level: 1
Speed: 1
Type: Melee
Damage Per Turn: 1
Edition: Chaos Legion

Now while typing the stats, it surely does seem that the advantages of Hill Giant is a respectful amount of HP even when at a mana cost of 3. Other than that, I really cannot find any other advantage right now. Don't get me wrong, this by itself can make a huge differemnce too!

My Battle Strategy and Cards Placement

Well I am not sure if my opponent is a bot, but if he isn't, then a special shoutout to @hgfhjhgj .

Opponent and I have relatively similar strategy. Magic based attack with Earth Summoner Obsidian increasing the damage. Put high health monsters like Hill Giant in front to absorb damage while having high magic damage output from the rear.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Well... I urge everyone to view this battle. Honestly, I felt that pertaining to the lineup, I did a better job. However, the main reason why I lost is due to, opponent having better cards. For the tank, we both used Hill Giant. However, he has a level 3 Hill Giant as to compared with my level 1 Hill Giant. As I dish as much damage as I can, the opponent has better magic monsters such as Wood Nymph and Magi Of The Forest. They really turned the tide for the match, resulting in a win for my opponent. Why I said I might have done a better job in the placement is because of the opponent's Goblin Thief, which didn't really help out much to the lineup. Nevertheless, his stronger monsters are able to compensate for this mistake.

Now I would say, I have done everything that I could given the cards that I have. Given a choice, I wouldn't have done anything differently but will still reach the same result of a loss

MVP - Magi of The Forest

The opponent was able to very quickly wipe my team out. With a Magi of The Forest, the damage output is 3 damage! This is very significant for a match with little league as match condition for the monsters tend to have pretty low health.

Do you like the Hill Giant? Why or why not?

Well, I wouldn't say I love this guy here. But as I mentioned earlier, a 6 health with a mana cost of 3 is actually pretty respectable. Though I am no fan of the Hill Giant, I can foresee myself using it once again in similar match conditions.
