What To Do With Your SPT?

Now first of all, I believe many people would be scratching their heads off like I did when I first joined the PeakD and Splinterlands community. Now I know why I am turning bald... But the thing is, when posting in the Splinterlands community, very often we will be able to receive the Splintertalks token, or SPT tokens in short. How does this look like? Head over to your Wallet, and you will be able to find it under Hive Engine Wallet. It should look something like this!

How Do You Get SPT Tokens?

So in order to receive this wonderful tokens, all you have to do is to write great post pertaining to things from Splinterlands, and tag appropriately. You will be rewarded with the SPT tokens when the rewards for your posts are due!

Is It Valuable?

You be the judge. This chart is taken from just earlier today.

Currently, each SPT is trading for 0.00209. Naysayer might just shrug this off, but do take note that these are the value of your tokens. And these tokens are on top of your rewards from your post. Basically, I think this is an awesome and spectacular opportunity not to be missed! And with Splinterlands making history time and time again, I am extremely optimistic that anything related to Splinterlands will appreciate in value soon!

So What Am I Doing With My SPT Tokens?

Now I am trying to slowly accumulate my wealth in the crypto world baby steps at a time. Only reason why it is baby steps is because I don't know where to run to! Haha. But I really like the idea of passive income, and you can do so even with the SPT tokens! So it is really simple how to do it! You can receive passive SPT tokens with just 2 simple steps.

  1. Stake your SPT tokens
  2. Delegate them to @monster-curator

So what is going to happen is, every single day I will get some SPT tokens as rewards for delegating them. The more you delegate, the more you will receive as rewards! I think of this as something like compounding! Don't believe me? Hope this picture helps!

As you can see, I am drawing around 36 SPT per day just by staking and delegating. That is around USD$0.07 everyday, doing nothing! I am personally not complaining about it! With me being optimistic about the prices of SPT tokens, I believe that this is a huge cash cow waiting to be milked in the future!

I have some SPT staked. This was a while ago, just bought a bunch of tokens. I'm not sure if it's been delegated. Is it worth buying more SPT tokens. Perhaps just buy and HODL !

Hello @olympicdragon , what a surprise! Thank you for your reply, and you are more than welcome to stay around my blog space. Love it when I know my post are being read!

Now that is a really tough one. First of all, I think it is brilliant that we are holding on to it and staking it. I know of many who immediately cash out upon receiving anything. Now for us, I think holding is a really wise move. Now for buying more SPT tokens, as of now I am not sure if I am the best person to answer. Nevertheless, I am optimistic of Splinterlands as I feel that once the land expansion comes in, there will be a mad spike in all the tokens. For instance, our SPS tokens will be getting more and more valuable in the future. As such, I am just wondering it is a matter of time before the SPT tokens actually have a credible use as well. That being the case, I am currently contemplating to invest in which form of tokens. SPS, SPT, DEC, NFTs, or even Land! I think Land might be a high risk high reward thing, cause the hype is there. If it actually materialise, then I am sure the price will manifold. But if it is a flop, the entire Splinterlands might come crashing a bit.

My latest update. Regarding my SPT tokens I have 100 staked, 1413 delegated and 157 token on the hive-engine. its nice to reading your posts, shall lookout for your postings !

Awesome! As of now, I have around 55,200 fully staked and delegated to @monster-curator . I know 36-38 SPT tokens a day may not be a lot, but I am all out for passive income so I really love this idea and will continue to do so!

Hi, great post - and thats an impressive amount of SPT !
I was wondering about how the delegation might work. I've been growing my SPT amount because I want the daily airdrop from splinterlands - but if I then delgate my SPT, will it still count within the airdrop ? Just wondering if anyone knows the answer.

@hoosie , feel free to ask. I will try my best to answer as much as I can!

Now for starters, I asked the same question as you did. Not to worry, even when you stake and delegate your SPT tokens, you are still able to count it towards the SPS airdrop! I have been building up these 2 of my avenues for a really long time so I am quite sure of this. So do feel free to delegate those SPT away to earn more passive income!

I am also delegating out my SPT over to monster-curator but I have also been considering selling off some of my SPT to increase my Splinterlands deck and rental income. I guess it depends on what you want to do.

Right, that is another way too! I guess, as long as it is in this Splinterlands ecosystem it should be fine. Nevertheless, I do find your method pretty smart. While I am banking on the spike in SPT, you diversified and a spike in SPT or NFT and you would still be able to earn. Really wise my friend @jfang003
