Proposal for Riftwatchers Packs DEC Price in Splinterlands

In splinterlands game, Riftwatchers is the latest edition of booster pack that is available for buy. This is a mini edition and airdrop card is released after sale of 500k packs. This limit was one million with the previous edition which was called Chaos Legion and it was one of the biggest edition in the game ecosystem that we have seen recently. There are multiple assets in the game that we can buy using different tokens including credits and DEC but with Riftwatchers there is different arrangement. Because the SPS was already launched so the team decided to release the pack sale that can be purchased through SPS only and I believe this was a good move but now since the SPS price is low and even the demand for rift watchers is not so high. The current situation requires some change in the strategy I believe and probably part of this the team is trying to add the option to buy the pack through DEC token as well.

There is a proposal in place to add DEC for Riftwatchers pack buy so if that is approved then we will be able to buy the booster pack using DEC token. This is the token that is not part of the reward pool but still a valuable component in the game I am probably after this change it will get even more exposure to its use case.

Proposal for Price Riftwatchers Packs in DEC

So we have one proposal which is currently active for the voting and as per this, the team is going to add one more option for the pack purchase. We know that as of now we can buy the pack using only SPS token but after this proposal they are going to add DEC as well which is good because this way more value will be given to the DEC along with sps of course. The price for one pack is $5 and as of now we can buy one pack using one voucher token and SPS worth the remaining value for the pack. After this change the value for one pack will be 5000 DEC token since it is a stable coin and the expected value is $1 for 1000 DEC tokens

Here is the snapshot of the proposal and you can see that it is supported by 90% of the voters which means it is kind of approved already and there are three days for the voting close. I believe this is a good proposal for all of us and this is the reason why the Community had supported it so now we can expect the change that we are going to experience in next couple of weeks.

Riftwatchers packs sale

The total supply for RW pack is 3 million and out of this only 1 million approximately is sold so we are left with 2 million. The price for 1 pack is $5 worth SPS along with 1 voucher and now this this proposal we are expecting the price to be 5000 DEC means more tokens will be used to buy the packs. Many of us might not want to use SPS for the buy for that reason they can also use the DEC if they want and this option is going to help us. As of now we need to pay approx 300 SPS and 1 voucher as per the current market this SPS count be vary because its linked with market price.

I have voted for the proposal and with this there are two benefits. First we can see more demand for DEC and if the price is still not back to its pegged range then we can get the RW packs at low value because we can get DEC for less than $5. This is my thought and probably after the change is live then I can Think of buying some packs because I believe it will be a good decision in the long term. I had invested some money in the previous edition of Booster Packs but my plan was not to open instead holding it for the long term so the same I can follow with the rift watchers as well.

I personally believe that if I Need more cards in the game then its better to buy from the market because I can get better deal as well I can choose the cards I want. Buying the pack to get some card is not the wise decision I believe and this is the reason why I prefer to buy packs just for the holding region and I buy cards from the market whenever I plan.

Are you also going to buy the RW booster packs using the DEC token once the change is implemented. there are multiple things going on in the game these days and I like the kind of enthusiasm that we can see in terms of development so hopefully things are going to be much better in the coming months.
