Thoughts about Voucher Token in Splinterlands

There are A few tokens available on this blockchain-based game splinterland and we get different use cases for different tokens in the ecosystem. For example, we have a governance token called Splintershards and with this token, we get a bunch of benefits as a reward for holding. we also get voucher tokens as part of SPS token holding but the use case with voucher tokens is very limited in the game. The voucher token was introduced when Chaos Legion boost pack was released and at that time it got so much hype. now the price for this token is very low in the market and today in this post I'll be talking about the price and many other information as per my understanding of the game.

Voucher Token

this token was launched as part of the promotion for Chaos Legion packs and later it is also used in various promo events. As far as I remember then with vouchers we were given the option to avail 50% discount on the buying price so this way we can call it a way to get a discount on the purchase of assets during promotional events. There have been multiple promotional events in the game and I have always seen this token part of that which is good because this way the tokens are utilized and buyers are given a decent discount while purchasing the game. We can earn this token by holding SPS in the game or we can also buy it from the market but apart from this, there is no other way that you can earn and here I'm excluding the diesel pool because that is a completely different option. There are pools available And there also you can earn but to be honest I have never used that since I don't feel comfortable investing my holding there and this is why I'm not sharing the update about that.

Price

Here I am sharing the snapshot of the voucher token and you will see that the price momentum is going on a downtrend. This token is struggling with its use case because it has not got any proper use case in the game which is why everyone who is earning the voucher token is dumping it in the market to book the profit and this is why the price is very low. I believe that team needs to look into this and make some changes to the use case so that people can use it apart from buying the asset during the promotion. Hopefully after some changes in the use case we can see some price appreciation for voucher tokens and maybe the team has got some different ideas to work on but overall it is required for them to look into this.

The current price is just 0.15 HIVE and I would like to mention here that this was once more than 20 hive and even that time HIVE was more than $0.5 so now you can imagine. Do you think selling the token at such a low price is good? In my opinion not because I believe this token deserve a lot and just some change can bring the value back however it may not go back to its all-time high but at least the value should be a decent one.

How I use vouchers

Earlier when the value was good that time I used my vouchers to convert for sps. I got a good amount of sps tokens that I deposited in my game account because I accumulate as much as I can but now. After all, the value of the voucher is quite low so I do not want to do it. I will wait for some time to see if there is a value revision for the token and then I can think about the conversion to SPS so that it can again give me a good value in return. my intention is not to book the profit here by selling off the vouchers instead I am focused that whatever I received will be used to buy more SPS and grow my SPS holding.

I am also sharing the snapshot of my current holding as I have also purchased some tokens in the market and altogether I hold more than four hundred tokens at the moment. The value is not much as per the current market price but it can be good if the price appreciates so I will wait for the right time when I can convert it against sps and this is the reason why I would not prefer to convert now and it is because the value is low.
