What makes me stake tokens in Splinterlands

When we talk about investment then the first thing that we need to determine is how long we can hold the invested money or assets if things are not going as expected. In an idle scenario, many people who invest money in the market come with a short-term strategy but I believe this is not at all encouraged. If someone has invested money in something and the person is sure that the growth potential is high then the strategy should be for the long term and that too there has to be a decent holding power so if something is not going well then also there is no need to sell it off. with long term mindset we can surely be in profitable situation. Simply, you are not in a loss unless you sell off the holding and this is why it is always recommended not to sell on a loss unless there is something really serious and you know that you might lose even the money you are holding then it can be a good idea.

The investment can be even better if you know that for the holding you are getting rewarded or the investment itself is paying you something back. This can be called a bonus or the dividend that some companies do to their stockholders and similarly to the SPS, I have the same thought process.

SPS Staking is profitable

There are a couple of reasons why I continue to stake SPS tokens in the game and I'm happy that I do it almost every day with a certain amount. Technically I grow my holding every day and sometimes it is bigger and sometimes it is lower but it is never the same on the next day. When I deposit SPS tokens, then I earn approximately 18% of APR on overall holding. Secondly, I am getting eligible to earn a glx token that is distributed every day and it is the governance token for an upcoming game. 3rd I am also getting eligible for the upcoming chain which has already been announced in the game and by the time it will be implemented I hope that my holding will be even better. I like playing games every day and I have been doing the same for the last two years so it is obvious that now I will not be playing at the level that I have been playing for a long time however I can even think of upgrading it further. Because of the upcoming change that has already been announced in the game, the SPS is going to be a valuable asset in the game.

SPS will replace Collection Power

I have already mentioned that the SPS stake will replace the collection power in the next few months and this has already been announced by the team. As per the roadmap, the change will be going live in quarter 3 and we have already entered the same quarter so probably in the next few months we are going to get it implemented. I am not sure how the collection power will work but certainly, the sps holding is going to make things different and for this reason, I am trying to grow my holding as much as I can. if you are a player in the game then you know how important it is to maintain the ranking and play in a higher league so it will become a need for us to hold sps. I don't want to be in a situation when the change is already implemented and the token price had shot up so before that happens I am trying to buy more and grow my overall token holding in the game.

Better gaming with Bigger Holding

I have been playing in the gold league and sometimes silver league for quite a long time so even after the change I want to maintain my league and for this region I continue to power up more tokens. My concern is not the price of the token in the market and it is good for me because, at the low price, I can buy more tokens. There is no plan for me to sell off the token and book profit because I know that holding will bring multiple opportunities down the line for the holders. it's like it is one of the hens that gives the Golden Egg so it is recommended to hold the hen and keep on accumulating more eggs in return.

The blockchain gaming segment is still getting more attention worldwide and we can expect that the next bull cycle is going to boost it a lot. Now is the time when we can enter or if we are already part of it then we can grow it in terms of more assets and wait for the right time when the next bull market starts. this can be applied to the investor but if you are a gamer then I'm sure you are going to enjoy the gaming more than the rewards that you might generate through the investment ultimately this is a great combination that includes gaming as well as investing on the same platform.
