DEC, SPS Colliding....
DEC has been trying to reach to its pegged value for the last couple of days. Make no mistake, there will soon come a day, when you will wake up and see DEC crossing its pegged value. In addition it is climbing by far the pegged value. Lets say, if that happens, I am quite certain, how much SPS is going to get burned during that time frame. I suppose, those moments would be mesmerizing to be a part of. SPS would see an amazing run, which many people have been expecting for the last couple of months.
Lets check out, what is happening with DEC and SPS for the last couple of days!
DEC has been trying very hard to break its pegged value for the last couple of days. As you may witness in the graph, the curves does indicates some bullish patters for DEC. But every time DEC has tried to reach its pegged value, it came down and eventually it has tried to break that resistance of its pegged value. In last 15 days, this scenario has been repeated multiple times.
The situation is literally critical at this point. Lets bring out the points and discuss those. There are users who are holding onto DEC for some time. They are eagerly waiting for DEC to pass its pegged value and they can take some profit from those. Once DEC reaches that level, people will slowly start taking profits making their bags go down in DEC. Which will create a demand for DEC in the market itself. As there are very thin ways to obtain DEC at present market condition of the game. Which makes DEC one of the most useful and valuable asset to hold into for the coming days. Yes, the number of accounts or the amount of DEC being held these hodlers might be big but as DEC gets where we are desperately seeking, things will turn pretty green for us all.
Burning SPS is going to change the tokenomics of SPS in ways which we can not even imagine. Just think about the amount of SPS burn which has taken place till date without even any proper incentives. Its massive! Over 18 million SPS has been burned till date. I can't even imagine what is going on in the mind of those, who are burning SPS at this stage. Whale issues, I suppose! But its good to see people are not dumping the tokens in exchanges/DEX but rather holding onto them and enjoying the APR.
But to be honest, DEC reaching its pegged value is a very needy incident which we require in order to give a big boost to the eco system of Splinterlands. Rebellion has sure given some boost to that reason but we need much bigger surprise for the game to reach to its highest value. With the recent delisting (which will be coming) of SPS, will create a buzz among the crypto realm of web3 gaming. It would be really wise for us to explore other DEFI protocols on other chains if necessary. This would cover up some of the mess that we are going to create.
At the end of the day there are good and bad news lurking in the crypto market. There might be a bull run incoming in the next few months. And even in those seasons if we can not rise, it will be one of the biggest loosing opportunity for us all. Which is why, it is now probably the perfect time to make things work for us. Which is, take the steps ASAP to make the overall economy of the game as sustainable as possible for the next couple of years. It sure is going to be difficult but not impossible. As splinterlands has passed years in this blockchain. And good days are ahead. We can not give up that easily! There's more coming!

A month ago I took a look at the graph of the SPS token, it seems to show a project that has been dead for many months, reading your post gave me some confidence back. However, the fact remains that I no longer have as much fun with Splinterlands as I did two years ago
I do agree, there are certain aspects about Splinterlands, which does not fits our expectations. But I suppose there are room for improvements and the team is trying. While glad to hear that, sharing my thoughts are helping others in some way.
