Drybone Raider in battle field...

There are few battles in Splinterlands, which gives you the chance to go all out in a battle. Sometimes these battles gives chills, while you witness the battle rounds. Let me share one of those battles! Since, I have not been playing much this season but it does feels great to win back to back!

OPPORTUNITY + BORN AGAIN

Three Splinters were active, Water, Life and Death. I usually like to go with full magic or ranged attack in these sort of big mana battles. While this time I went out with Water. As I was assuming my opponent would do the same.

Full Battle

Sine I was going full magic, I decided to keep a tank which would be strong enough to handle the first few rounds with strong shield. Diemonshark was the best choice under the given circumstances. Serpent of Eld was also in my choice but the life in this monster was smaller than of Diemonshark. Than again the Trample ability would come in handy in these sort of big mana games. Every strike matters!


Coming to second position, I wanted to go with Flting Squid. It has 3 melee damage and also is suitable to reach ability, which would help in take down the tank of my opponent. But as I was going with magic attack, those monsters of mine would eventually take down the tank of my opponent. So why not make a better use of this position with an opportunity monster (Yes, I am aware of the opportunity rule). While Deeplurker has an additional melee attack with an additional speed than of Flying squid. So I decided to go with this guy ;)


Now in this position I wanted to put up Djinn Oshannus as it has the void and phase ability, which would reduce the damage upon taking the hit from the enemy. As I was expecting this monsters would be out there in the first position pretty soon. But for my main strategy to take into affect I had to use him in the next position. And in the third position I had to use Nerissa.

OPPORTUNITY + BORN AGAIN + MARTYR + DRYBONE

Quite a useful and deadly combination to work with! My main target was to give Drybone Raider a full fledged role and use him to his full potential. Since, this monster has high mana and his abilities are useful to this sort of matches. Than why not use him to the fullest. I decided to use Venari marksrat in between Djinn and Drybone. As the rule set gives out opportunity ability to all monsters, this one was the most vulnerable one in the lineup. And killing it twice would give me what I need to my Djinn and Drybone.

7+7 damage from Drybone to the opponent (double strike), along with 4 magic blast from Djinn, they really made a huge difference in the battle ground. I have not really used Drybone in that many battles, as it consumes too much mana in a battle. But in situation such as this where 99 mana is the limit, hy not use him and make the best out of the situation!

If you watch the battle replay, you may witness how Drybone was really effective in different rounds. Making it one of the best decision of mine in the battle field.


Well, the victory was mine! And not many of my monsters were taken out by my opponent, thanks to Drybone and Djinn. Resurrect and all the attacks was mindboggling to watch! IS there any battle that you think is amazing and would like to share with me!
