Armored Up and Taking Sides

Armored Up : All Monsters have 2 Armor in addition to their normal Armor stat.
Taking Sides : Neutral Monsters may not be used in battles.

SUMMONER: Obsidian

Because of the ruleset armored up which means all monsters has plus 2 armor, I didn't hesitate to use this summoner with plus 1 magic damage. I can use my low speed magic attackers without thinking of the opponent monsters that has opportunity ability. An Offensively, magic will ignore armor so I thought of using Obsidian.

1st Position: Flesh Golem

With a slightly low mana battle, I found this monster a very good tank plus the 2 armor from the ruleset. I'm only using level 1 so no self-heal for this Flesh Golem. Good thing as well I have Wood Nymph to pair up with this tank hoping for him to last longer in the battle using the heal.

2nd Position: Regal Peryton

I decided to put this monster in the second position because of his decent HP and primarily as a shield for snipers. It has a high speed and will protect the Wood Nymph which is positioned in 3rd.

3rd Position: Wood Nymph

Because of his low health and speed, armored up ruleset is a big help for this tank healer. Placed her in the 3rd for protection from sneakers and snipers. And will definitely help the primary and secondary tanks. Plus the additional magic damage from the summoner.

4th Position: Khmer Princess

For only 2 mana, this is the best addition in the lineup especially with Obisidian, she is like Wood Nymph but in low mana so I placed her in last position just to protect also the healer from the sneak attackers.

As expected, he has monsters with opportunity and sneak, good thing we have the armored up ruleset and my low HP and low speed monsters will be safe in this round. He used a tank with shield ability but that won’t work because I have 3 magic attackers in the backline. I managed to kill his tank in this round..💪

Here I can say that I got this win just by looking at his remaining monsters. Wood Nymph killed his Shieldbearer and Time Mage in this round but my Khmer Princess got yeeted as well.☠️

As you can see, my tank's HP is still at 9 because of Wood Nymph who managed to take down the celestial harpy in this round. Wow!☠️

And of course, Wood Nymph will get the Final blow for this battle. 4 out of 5 monsters have been wiped out by this Themed monster of the week. Just a nice show overall and mind you, she is only in level 1. Thanks to the armored up ruleset as well for the protection from opportunity attackers.

Did your strategy work? What will you try differently next time?

Definitely, I just want to protect Wood Nymph in this match just to help my tank. I placed her in a great position. And additional 1 magic damage is huge also which is a big help in taking down his tank👍😎 Won't try any different, will always protect the healer no matter what.

Do you like Wood Nymph? Why or why not?

100% Yes, Wood Nymph is one of the first card I bought when I started playing Splinterlands. I always paired her to Unicorn Mustang back with Mylor as a summoner. I always win just by using those 3 monsters. And with obsidian in the mix, 2 magic damage? uh-oh! healer and killah!
