Playing Some Ranked (2026-07-06)

Lets Get To It
It's been awhile since I ventured into ranked play. Today's battlefield of choice is Foundation. We don't have the set up for modern and venturing into WILD will be an ass kicking giving to us reminiscing of a hiding that would leave us in Splinterdust. Foundation is the perfect fit for our rusty battle skills. Not only is Foundation great for those re-entering the battle cry but its a great entry point for anyone at all. The playable cards are limited to those in the Foundation set and are of the most affordable cards on the market. If you haven't played Splinterlands yet (or even if you have) we highly recommend entering Campaign Mode. It is in Campaign Mode that will garner you your first FREE Foundation cards.

A sharp new look
As noted it's been awhile since I played any Raked Battles. Upon visiting the Ranked section I notice a new look. I'm not sure when the update took place but this is the first of me seeing it. Notable eye popping changes: () The first thing I noticed was the Daily Streak located in the upper corner of the screen () Two viewing options are presented () The updated stats as shown in the screenshot below. I'd simply like to say; good job to the Splinterlands team for creating a sharp look.

VISIONS OF VERICO SET OVERVIEW
Visions of Verico, you'll find that the fate of the Splinterlands may not be a conflict that is won with blade and blood. Rather, it is your ability to tap into the full potential of the rivers and trees and mountains of Praetoria. Collect and level-up 54 worker cards that are specifically forged to construct, build, harvest, salvage, and craft like nothing you've seen before! The true power of this world lies below your feet, battle mage. Let's get to work!

It's Battle Time
My first battle had a 40 mana cap. I opted to use just 37 MANA. I'm currently in Gold III - Lets see how it goes. I have one Black Foil card and its been placed in the Tank Position (1st Position). That cards name is Nim Guard Captain. My ARCHON of choice is of the Death Splinter: Thalgrimore (-1 Health to the enemy). I am up against the same Archon. It came down to the wire but I lost the battle. On-wards to the next battle.

Battle Two
Can we get a better result our second battle back? This time our MANA cape is a massive 56. Once again we don't use up all our MANA points but we do have a full line up of battle warn units ready to hold down the fort. Our Archon of choice this time is Incessant Sage compiled with units of the sneak variety.

Victory Was Ours**
What a battle that was. There is no description I can give here in text that will give it justice. I thought for sure on 2 or 3 occasions that I was minced meat. To be fair - I nearly was but resurrection worked in our favor. Goes to show you never know which way these battles will play out.

The Battle Wages On
I think I will end this post with that battle showcased above. I don't think I will encounter a better send off for this post. I do plan on getting at least five wins for a claim on a Daily Reward. After all these years Splinterlands still provides excitement and entertainment. How many years? I believe it to be 8 Years since Splinterlands first surfaced. Sticking around in the cryptocurrency market in uncharted territory (Play2Earn) gaming is something that is noteworthy. I'm happy to report I was among the first to toss my hat and cents (dollars) into this project and what a WILD ride its been. We look forward for what the Splinterlands team and community have in store next. What-ever it might be you can bet @rentmoney will be along for the ride. Watching this game from its conception to current day has been enjoyable. We still believe #play2earn gaming is the future of gaming and Splinterlands is leading the way. The world will wake up to it eventually. I don't see the progressing of gaming going any other way. That's it for now.
